Since I have Louis Vuitton bags I don't wear ....

This is so funny! I was thinking about this myself and was wondering what is going on.

Beyond any sane reason, I have a fiery passion for my Chanel bags which I have just started buying. I LOVE carrying them. But, they don't feel like casual, everyday bags so I end up carrying my Michael Kors bags more often when I'm running errands. And I don't even like them best! What the heck!

And the bags I have in between - like Gucci, Prada, kate spade - are very much loved but don't get worn. I've started calling them my bag orphans. 😕

I think we grab one or two bags that "fit" us subconsciously. I'm trying to be more conscious and plan my outfits so bags I love get into the rotation more often. I'm even buying clothes with bag orphans in mind!

Don't wear a bag just because it is expensive. Wear it because it you like it and it's appropriate with the occasion and it goes with your style. For example, you wouldn't want to wear a big oversize shoulder bag to go clubbing, you would want to wear something small instead. Or if the weather is bad, then wear something that can withstand the rain or snow.

I have bags from several different brands, some are very expensive and some are handcrafted from local artisans I got from my travels. I like them all, some are worn more than others but that is OK. If there is a bag that I no longer like, then I either sell it or give it away.

That's a good point.. thank you.
I have to think about my relationship with my bags. :D

I luv my LV but I'm in luv with Burberry I think it's so classic and very simple yet so elegant, I have other brands that I alternate to use like my AW Rockie that my current work horse bag, and MK Hamilton in luggage. I stop buying little knick knacks here and there I just save it for my Burberry😀

I agree to the original poster...I feel the same too... Once I wear LV bag everyday I was really, not wanting to buy a Guess bag. You see what I mean....I'm not saying Guess is not great it got great design too. But just ... I would think other people may think I'm broke to suddenly get a Guess (or no name bag) instead... Perhaps I care about other thinks too much?

I think we've all found our serendipity with a brand at one time or another. Sometimes it just lasts a few years and sometimes it's 'forever'.

Mostly I like Gucci, but I have a few of many other designers which I also wear very happily, I like things forever whatever the maker, no problem, everybody's different.

This. Yes.

Since I started carrying Louis Vuitton I quit carrying Coach, among others, (and now I'm stuck with my username!)

This made me laugh...

I mostly have Bals, with one LV and a couple of other premier designers thrown in.

Last year I fell in love with the Coach Bleecker Daily. Got it and wore it most of the summer.
I still love it, and it's going to get lots of use this summer as well. :D

I still keep cheaper brands that I don't really like any more.....for traveling when it's raining season. Or to country where I don't feel safe to carry Chanel etc.
I do the same and also if I am going to be in a not so good area, I will switch out to a cheaper bag so that I don't draw too much attention to myself.

I can totally relate. I do rotate my bags some times, but whenever I switch away from an LV, I am counting down the days till I can switch back to my favourites (which are all LVs). That said, there are 2 of my LV bags that I never reach for, ever. Their style and size just don't work for me right now.

Almost every work day, I have lunch in a mall which has a Coach outlet. I am sorely tempted by their bags, but knowing myself, they will just be sitting in their dust bags while I carry on with the few LVs that love.

I do want to venture more deeply into other brands, but keeping up with the LV forum and their new designs takes up almost all of my time already. I can't imagine how I can juggle passion for more than 1 brand.
