I actually ended up returning the speedy. I found myself not reaching for it when I went out to dinner or even when I went to a winery. I figured if I was that nervous to use it (and stain it), it probably isn't the bag for me

See my response right above your original post/question. Own one of every color in 1854, one of them being black and white OTG. Again, it’s a “special” collection for me (use sparingly, when I want to make a statement) but haven’t had any issues. I’ve even accidentally rubbed it on a car AFTER driving on snowy roads (so snow + sand/dirt + salt). Didn’t even have a single speck.
I should also mention that I baby all my bags, and I use them according to the weather and activity. I like all my belongings (bag or not, luxury or not) to look clean and “new,” so babying my things is second nature to me. If this doesn’t sound like you, then avoid 1854. You’d be better of with an empreinte OTG if you want something easy to take care of without being casual.
Hi, please could anyone who is the lucky owner of the black 1854 monogram shawl let me know what colour the other side of this one is? Is it also black, or grey? Apologies for bothering you, but I could not find any modshots to figure this out! Many thanks in advance!
Love the Since 1854 pattern on my cosmetic pouch. It has black interior, which I really like. No problems yet on color transfer. It’s held up well in and out of my NeoNoe.

The back of it is grey, but the print is in reverse, so it's really a one-sided shawl. I absolutely adore it and it's part of my airport uniform, even during the summer.

Wow... i was hoping someone would buy this and post photos of this rare beauty !! I still think the 1854 is such a classic and timless design pattern, not truly appreciated by all, but by those of us who have an eye for traditional simplicity. Its truly a stunning piece to your fabulous collection !!!
(plus i love the way 24s does their packaging !! So much better than the way LV sends in a boring cardboard box !!)
There's a few random new pieces on 24s.com. It's an LVMH company, so it's all authentic and from Paris.
