Since 1854! Keep or return??

I like the collection, but I don't like the cosmetic pouch as a bag or clutch. If you don't vibe with it in the indented use, return. Just my 2 cents, I've never liked the cosmetic pouches (and I have them) or the toiletry pouches (have them also) as clutches.

I would only use this as a cosmetic bag. I don't see it as a regular bag. But then I don't see ant cosmetic bag as a regular bag. They're meant to go in a larger bag, IMO

Yes, this picture of yours got me very interested in it — interested enough to research how to make the clutch into a small bag  (I never thought I would consider a TP as a bag but there’s no other 1854 bag styles that I like). I can totally see a black strap on that black TP or a vachetta strap on the blue one.

I love the 1854 pattern in blue! I've seen this pouch only and I felt really tempted, but it's not really useful to me: It's a cosmetic pouch and also looks like one (would be strange to use as a clutch replacement to me), so I'd just use it in my bag as an organizing pouch for small stuff. But for that the fabric seemed too delicate for me. It's truly beautiful but I'd wait for this to come out in a clutch or small bag that you really like!

Yes, just get the insert with holes to hook shoulder strap. I did that for my Game On Toiletry & use it as my iPad bag

Point! I like the print in small bags but the fabric seems too delicate to command the hefty price tag...I am inclining towards saving for the summer collection or get TP26.

Thanks everyone for the ideas.

I have four items from the 1854 collection, and I'm looking to get a fifth item (3rd bag).

Unless you're really clumsy or careless, I don't think this collection is harder to take care of.

Then again, this is my lifestyle: I don't wear jewelry around my hands, so I don't worry about jewelry catching on the fabric. I have a car, so I don't have to worry about public transportation and other people. I'm not one to eat and drink while a bag is in my hands.

Personally, I think vachetta is harder to take care of then 1854. It snowed today, and all my 1854 goodies did just fine. I avoid using vachetta whenever it's not sunny. I have gotten water stains from wet snowfall.

Also, 1854 is jacquard fabric. Jacquard fabric has always been more expensive to produce than plain woven canvas that's been printed, regardless of brand. LV canvas is printed woven fabric with basically a plastic coating.

All great points - I have 4 pieces from the blue collection, and bought a gray/black 1854 Pouch....I've beat up the pouch pretty good and the fabric is doing amazing!

Also - i heard rumor that the vachetta on the blue 1854 is treated? Making care for it easier?
