Good question. I am inclining towards returning too. Thanks for the response.I’m not a fan of using cosmetic pouches as a clutch. It looks like.....a cosmetic pouch.
That said, do you like it?????
if you opened your bag and saw this inside, would you feel happy????
This is helpful feedback. I am not sure of the material since I have it real life though really like the print.I agree with Annawakes, it looks like a cosmetic pouch. Have you considered the blue 1854 petite sac plat, or toiletery pouch 26 with a conversion kit?
Good point. I do feel TP 26 is overpriced for a full cloth pouch. But does look great.I was also going to suggest the TP26 if you plan to use it as a clutch since it has a better shape for a clutch (or a small bag if you buy an insert for it). This 1854 line was not on my radar at all until I recently saw a picture of the blue TP26 (posted by 23 Adeline) — love the look of it.
Thanks. Am thinking the same. You don’t sound like you love it so I’d return. This looks like a makeup case to me and not a clutch anyway.
You’ll find something you really love.Thanks. Am thinking the same.
Thats a great idea!I agree with others, toiletry bags don't look like clutches or bags to me. I'm not sold on the petit sac plat so I'd say buy the neverfull, keep the pouch and sell the bag!!!![]()
Wow thats quite informative. Congrats on your pieces. So glad to have your review. Would love to see pictures of your collection if possible.I have four items from the 1854 collection, and I'm looking to get a fifth item (3rd bag).
Unless you're really clumsy or careless, I don't think this collection is harder to take care of.
Then again, this is my lifestyle: I don't wear jewelry around my hands, so I don't worry about jewelry catching on the fabric. I have a car, so I don't have to worry about public transportation and other people. I'm not one to eat and drink while a bag is in my hands.
Personally, I think vachetta is harder to take care of then 1854. It snowed today, and all my 1854 goodies did just fine. I avoid using vachetta whenever it's not sunny. I have gotten water stains from wet snowfall.
Also, 1854 is jacquard fabric. Jacquard fabric has always been more expensive to produce than plain woven canvas that's been printed, regardless of brand. LV canvas is printed woven fabric with basically a plastic coating.
