Since 1854/Jacquard collection, how is it?

I really like the new blue too! I only want to collect one or the other and wanted to see this pattern first to decide. My concern is it seems fall/winter looking and we are coming into Spring. Maybe they won’t release it until fall if 2021?

If the khaki will be released, I think you're right to assume it will be for fall. I don't think the 1854 collection is that popular, so I doubt all the blue pieces will be bought up in six months.

Have you seen the blue at all in person? If you haven't seen it, I suggest you do. I think the blue looks much better in photos, and I really hate the pre-tanned vachetta-colored interior.

I really like the Speedy in Bordeaux. I have seen it and the one in Neo few times in person, and they both are beautiful! Does anyone know if the Speedy will ever have the dark grey/black version?

Back in October/November, I saw an ig post where someone posted a grey speedy and said it would land in 2021. That account is now suspended, but they were a pretty accurate one for new releases. LV has been known to cancel items before they launch, so it's possible that a grey speedy may still be released, or not.

Have you seen the keepall from the collection, though? If they don't end up making a speedy, maybe that could be a compromise? The price difference is just under $200 USD for a much bigger item.

With speedy, just check to make sure you're ok with the strap length. Bordeaux (not sure about the blue one) comes with a very long strap, longer than the speedy b 25 strap. I'm 5'4"/163 cm, and the strap is unusable for me. I wasn't sure if I wanted to pay $$$ for a bag with a strap I can't use, but eventually it came home with me.

Side note: I wish they made a regular size sac plat in bordeaux

I'd definitely try the bag still. My SA is 5'6"-5'7" and she found the shortest setting to be too long for herself. The bag goes past my butt. On her, it's really not that much higher.

Saumurs aren't available in the US, so I haven't seen any in person. I do have OTG in grey, though. Personally, I think all the 1854 pieces I've seen have been made well with a high attention to detail. LV didn't have to line the speedy with microfiber, but they did. Same thing with pochette metis. They clearly wanted this collection to be more "premium" than the standard models.

Between gray and burgundy, I prefer gray. I live for black and white combos though, so my opinion is biased. Gray for me has a much more striking and classy look to it. "Instant chic," I think. Burgundy has more of an equestrian feel for me, like the Dauphine collection. I like my burgundy speedy, but I love my gray OTG.

If I could, I would buy all the gray 1854 items lol

That's why I don't understand why the hardware on the Speedy is mismatched. The zipper pulls are dull like on ordinary Speedy while the rest of the hardware is shiny gold
I can confirm the strap on the Since 1854 Speedy is very long, much longer than on canvas Speedy.

I really love this Bleu Speedy and was hopeful the strap would be shorter than the Bordeaux strap. A deal-breaker for me - very sad!

The good news though is that the blue speedy is only pre-tanned vachetta, meaning it's easier to find a removable strap from another bag that will work.

I'm hoping that LV eventually realizes their mistake though, and reaches out to everyone that bought an 1854 speedy. I want a strap that matches the description

Looks like there is no news about the grey Speedy 1854. I tried the Saumur on and I like it, but my husband said it is quite similar to my Pochette Metis although he agrees that the 1854 collection were all well-made. So, I thought I would wait for the Speedy in grey, but really, there has been no news since.

Y’all I am crushing hard on the grey neverfull. I’ve never had a neverfull mm before. I used to have a pm size neverfull but didn’t like that it was handheld only.

I like the mini Deauville too but it’s $20 more than the neverfull! I feel like it’s a “better” deal to get the neverfull at $2170 vs the mini deauville at $2190.

I never cared for neverfull until I saw the gray 1854. I ended up getting OTG lol but still, I think the neverfull is beautiful in jacquard. The 1854 neverfull is also lined with microfiber, so it's definitely more "premium" than a regular one... So I say get the neverfull
