Hello Fello Valentino Rockstud Fans!
I've been wanting Rockstuds for a while, and bought two pair of them in the past couple weeks
Like many of you, I purchased the 'staple' colors first which I know I will reach for regularly. The black patent and blush, and the blush patent (on the way being delivered) Last night I decided to do a 'Rockstud' inspired mani with gold studs, here they are with my gorgeous new shoes! I still haven't worn them yet, hoping tonight though.
As with the majority of people and recommendation from Valentino, I went a 1/2 size up to a 7 1/2. I tried on the 7's just to see how they fit and I could tell they were definitely too tight compared to the 7 1/2 which were very comfortable. I have a feeling I'm going to end up with many more RS in the future!

Great choices, and I love the mani! My first pair was the poudre (blush) patent 4". I also have a pair of the multicolored naked sandals. They are certainly addicting!
Personally, I prefer the low heel or flats. I have tried in the higher heel like you have and they were comfy but I haven't been in the for the few hours you were on your first time out....You may need to break them in a little around the house or a thin ball of foot pad may help keep you toes from sliding all the way forward. HTH......they look great on you though! What a sweet DH you have

Thank you! I can see why Rockstuds are so addicting. My boyfriend bought me the Noir Rockstuds tonight, so I'm up to 3 pairs already
I'm glad you like my mani! I was messing around and thought it would be fun. That's a good idea about getting foot gripper pads to keep the foot from sliding forward and jamming the toes, it might be good for me too! I found some highly rated ones on Amazon, will try them if I think I need them after wearing them a few times each. I wore my black patent and blush tonight and walked around for over an hour in the mall before dinner, they were very comfortable for that period of time.

So I put my new Rockstud Noir pumps on last night after we got home to see how they looked. I didn't have time to try them on at the store as our dinner reservations were a couple minutes away. I LOVE the way they look, super cool, and walked in them in the house for several minutes. They definitely are tighter than the black patent/blush ones I bought, and they are both 7.5. The Noir feels like a size 7! The ankle straps are MUCH tighter, so much so I could only get it in the first hole and even that was tight???? I have smaller ankles too.....so back they go! If they have another 7.5 in stock I'll try them on. I'm too nervous to order them online because of the extra tight fit. Maybe this was an 'off' pair? I did wear them on the hardwood floor to test them, but not out. We buy a ton of shoes from our sales guy and he knows we don't return things unless there is something really wrong. I'm still waiting for the Blush pair to come in the mail, I hope those fit OK since they didn't have any in my size.
Congrats on your first pair of R.S. ag681, they are lovely. I find that the patent stretches out rather quickly not sure about the all leather pairs. I am sure after a few wears it will become more comfy. Take care

So I called my SA about the too tight Noir RS's as soon as NM opened. He found another 7 1/2. I purposely wore my very comfortable black patent and blush, which I wore for the first time yesterday so he could see the difference with the Noir. He had asked if I measured the strap, I didn't before I called but did it out of curiosity. The straps were at least 1/4 inch shorter on the Noir! Anyhow, I put the new 7 1/2 Noir on and they fit perfectly and comfortably, just like my other pair. Then I put the old one on the other foot. He could see the strap difference immediately, how tight the bottom was with no leeway, and I could only fasten the strap on the first hole. He said he will talk to the manager and most likely they will be sent back. He believes they are defective. Anyhow, I'm SO glad I went back and have the comfortable ones on now in the pic
