My Summer basket is not wicker or straw but an inherited hand-knotted black patent leather N-S basket with bamboo handles and soft, black suede interior pouch (I could use a bag of a different colour) with bamboo toggles from the 1990s. I am addicted to '90s fashion atm, thank goodness for Youtube where I have found original fashion shows.
I was shocked at how much money this was when I fond the receipt inside. Obviously the Gucci equivalent of a BV Cabat of it's day. I don't even remember my mother wearing it that much. This and another one of my mother's Gucci bags (black plain canvas and tan leather trim hobo) used to be my only Summer (only) bags but now I think I have more and would like to add a natural wicker or straw.
