I look back now and think it was just his way of trying to turn me down, I guess.
It also kind of bugs me how inconsistent he is with people. His personality specifically. And that he personally doesn't do all the work himself and uses people in his shop sometimes.

Whether only his paws were on it the entire time or someone he trusts did part of it, I don't care. Harry Winston isn't hand making his jewelry himself and doctors rely heavily on nurses
If someone that works for him assisted in making my ring they're amazing and will probably end up on their own like the other guy did.

he doesnt do any bench work anymore. he is gifted but a bit of a sociopath
Seems reasonable to me. His work is very delicate and he knows how it wears and what will cause damage. If he warns you in advance it's a plus as no one wants a damaged ring.

Actually, the criticism really does not bother me. I've had nothing but positive experience with Leon and his staff, and will continue to go to him for future works. To each his own.

Leon has as many detractors as satisfied customers. I have experience with him --more than once--and I think people need to know what they are getting into. It doesnt mean he isnt talented or that people dont have wonderful experiences with him as well.
