I agree w/ Thimp. Message him through his website, giving him as much info as possible, even attach her pic as inspiration.
Then make an appt to see him when you visit! I called 2 days before and he accommodated me easily. Had a serious health issue w/ his father so had to cancel and apologized numerous times profusely, then he called me and invited me back in when he got back to office earlier than expected.
He's dry, he's fine though.

Yes, he is very to the point. But I find him to be a nice man, with your typical artistic impatience.

I didn't even notice any impatience, lol!
I expected the worst, especially after the news he had just received about his father that week, but he honestly couldn't have been any easier to work with. He had a dry sense of humor. . . which I dig.

Hi! I got my Leon in 2006. I love it to death! Here it is under various lighting conditions. The reflections of yellow, blue, and green in my stone are because of the tree-filled outdoor setting. Excuse the not-so-clean diamond and my dry wrinkly hands!

As much as I love my ring, sometimes I fantasize about re-setting the diamond as a solitaire with thin pave band by LM. And maybe I can recycle this setting with a gemstone center like ruby or sapphire. :graucho: I do have a big wedding anniversary coming up, hmmm.....

Specs:
- 3.56 H SI1 Ideal cut round, AGS
- Side pears, I color. I forget the exact weight but I think it's a combined 1.16 ct or thereabouts
- Platinum Leon Mege basket setting, double claw-prongs
- The wedding band you see is a Tiffany knife-edge platinum band
- Finger size: 3.5

God I still so love your ring!!!!

And I wouldn't hate on you if you had your stone reset in your old solitaire setting and put a ruby or sapphire in this one. Not one bit.

Gorgeous!

Hi. Your Leon Mege rings are amazing. For you ladies that dont live in NY - how does it work? You ship your ring, choose the setting and they do the wok. Do you think its fine to do this without being there in person for discussions and to see things, etc?
