I disposed of my LM ring. He didnt do what I asked, charged me more than he quoted and then had a hissy fit when I asked for it to be corrected. I am not a fan of his. His work is beautiful but there are other fish in the sea.

So far, I have no issue with him, knock on wood. I am happy with the pieces he has made for me, esp. the pave studs. His pave work is very detailed and well done, IMHO. I would not hesitate to return to him.

^me too. I found him to be warm, creative, generous {allowed me to fondle his already made pieces!} and he listened to me. I sat in his office for nearly 2 hours days after finding out his father had cancer and he was patient and attentive nonetheless.
My ring came back beyond my expectations. The quality was indescribable and he was on time completing it despite it being over the Christmas holidays.

I guess like anyone, Tifffany's, a local jeweler, etc. . . some have amazing reviews and others don't :shrugs: He has a dry sense of humor; I know this doesn't please everyone.

I'll post pics later when I'm on my other computer.

WOOHOO PICS!

My biggest issue in getting a price from him was how blatantly he told me that he has rules for wearing his creations, and that whether I wanted it low or not, he would set it how he felt it should be set, not how I am paying him to set it. I get ignored and mistreated by other less-revered jewelers just the same, but if I am paying you more than anyone else, I want it how i asked for it.

I never ever heard a 'rule' uttered from him. I do think it's reasonable, however, that he needs to know your lifestyle when designing a ring because if you are hard on jewelry or want to stack bands that may rub on micropave he needs to know so as to prevent repairs later on.
He never gave me rules though, or anything resembling.

He told me that under no circumstances do you wear any rings of any kind from any maker next to his creation and that if you do its on you and he will not repair it should anything occur. You are also not to wear it for manual labor, cooking, sleeping, etc so as not to cause any unnecessary damage or wear

Oh my goodness! When he was making my ring, I informed him that I will be wearing a band with it, and that I am aware he doesn't like ppl wearing bands with his engagement ring. He simply said, "I am not going to tell you what you can or cannot wear. It is entirely up to you. ":shrugs:
