My oldest bag is probably this 1960s Coach Bonnie Cashin bag given to me by a dear tpfer. I probably have some older clutches that were my mom's or grandma's but this one is special.View attachment 4692431
My newest bag is this Coach originals Emery 21 that I got this February when it first came out.View attachment 4692432

Oh I’ve not seen this Bonnie before! Is the top a handle?

Isn't it lovely they're both Coach!

How do they compare?
Thanks! Apparently the leather for the new one was inspired by the leather of the vintage one. Other than that, you can't tell they are the same brand.

Yes, it fits comfortably over the arm, like a muff. It is a clever design but it looks weird.

My oldest bag is my Michael Kors Maddie tote and my newest bag is my Michael Kors Prism. I usually don't keep bags too long. Two years has been the longest I think. Nothing against the bags or anything I just prefer variety. So usually I sell one bag to buy another. Although with the current state of things I won't be able to sell anything for a while.

I thought with many of us over the world maybe going into self isolation because of government regulations during this Coronavirus crisis , bordem is going to be a big problem.
You might take the time to go thru all your bags to see if you still have love for them. Maybe do some maintenance and condition a few. Organize your handbag wardrobe or closet and put clothing into a bag for donation.
While you do this I thought we might play a little game of Show and Tell.

Find the Oldest bag in you collection and tell us about her , and then the same with your youngest bag.
Could be your grandma's favourite clutch or the LV made in Dec last year.
Lets see what we can find.

My oldest bag is a Corbeau Ostrich Clutch which I think was made round the late 1940s early 50s. Found while thrifting for $2NZ
My youngest bag is a Farmer's Whistle brand bag I got last year for $6NZ after discount and gift card.View attachment 4692346 View attachment 4692347

My oldest is a vintage Fendi I was gifted (‘70s or ‘80s is my best guess?)

Newest just came today (Out of control pandemic shopping). Smythson business bag in pine green leather.

Oldest is a vintage satchel made of cobra skin. I think it was custom made. Bought it on Poshmark for $12, but put way more than that into it to repair it and still can’t use it much. The handles aren’t lined anymore and it won’t load much without stretching and breaking.I guess it was made in the 50’s to early 60’s.
Newest is a fun little inexpensive Dune bag I got as an accent piece, new to me but with the tag still on it.
