Hi everyone, my SA offered me a Vert Rousseau Porosus Croc Kelly Pochette. Should I take this offer? Will this offer come again if I pass it up? I think it’s beautiful but also comes with a hefty price. I may have to sell one or two Chanel’s to justify the purchase. Does anyone know the current retail of this bag? I’m guessing it’s in mid 20k? I believe it’s a lot higher than retail price of ombré lizard.
The story is the SA asked me to put in bag request for Mother’s Day event. I asked for ombré lizard Kelly mini or Kelly pochette or picnic kelly mini. But looks like none of those bags are coming so he’s offering me this kelly pochette instead.

Im drooling over here. Personally it’s stunnnnning. But if you’re not in love I would pass! Too much money to be second guessing. However I did just make a very large H purchase as well today (reseller vs H boutique but around 20k as well) and it took me days to wrap my head around it and decide. So I get that these are very expensive decisions. Will he give you some time to think?

Your SA will have the exact current retail

I don’t think a porosus kelly pouchette is super rare, but it’s not even close to ombré lizard.
I would wait for what I really want. And, ombre lizard will turn up eventually

i believe a picnic kelly mini might be harder, so I would ask your SA what the likelihood is for you

It’s beautiful but if it doesn’t grab you and it’s not function for you, then politely pass. It’s better to wait for what you really want.

Thank you for your comment. I forgot to mention that I do think it’s absolutely beautiful. It’s just cost more than the bag that I had asked for originally. I do have a week to think about it. I will pass it up if I don’t absolutely love it.

If the ombré lizard turns up in a few weeks or a month, will you regret this?

If not, and you love it and can afford it, go for it.

ETA: I just read that it’s more than you were planning on spending, and you may have to sell one or two Chanels.
IMO this is a lot of work for a bag that is lovely but wasnt on your radar. When I accept an offer, there is certainty and joy. No hesitation and certainly no need to take a poll of well meaning strangers. JMO

i think even if you purchased this, you might still want the ombré. It’s like being on a diet. You have a limited number of desserts in the calorie budget, so don’t settle for the fabulous, amazing devils food cake chocolate ice cream tartufo if what you really wanted was a decadently crackling topped, earl gray infused creme brulee

I agree. I wanted a green b 30 ages. Bought a green 24/24 and it wasn’t perfect. Have since sold. And then found a beautiful Birkin in all of my specs but the color was wrong. Bought it and now selling because I finally bit the bullet on my dream b30. Don’t settle or try to force something.
