Should I sell my heart bag - dilemma

Hello all. I am having quite a wrangle with my collection purely because I have bought way more than I usually would recently.

I feel like I need a good talking to and some perspective and who better than you all :smile:

So I have quite a healthy collection which I have amassed over the years. Some I use regularly and some are HG that I would never sell and know that and I am happy with that. I purchased a large black heart bag last year over retail but haven't yet used it. I feel like I bought it as it's kind of a collectors piece but it's expensive and wondering whether to sell. Will I regret it being such a one off?

I also have a maxi which I repurchased when it was about 3.5K and kicked myself then for not getting sooner. I could let that go but feel it might be a regret given it’s now over £8K.

Of late I have purchased a few vanity with chain which are now out of return window but I have a white small sweetheart bag and a woc and 2 card holders which I have purchased. I could return the sweetheart and woc/card holders but they feel really special like they wont be repeated. Love the adjustable chain on the sweetheart but have concerns with it being white. The woc CC I have never seen anything like that before.

So my options are return the sweetheart, woc and card holders and live with the fact I cant have everything or let the heart go along with something else?

Please help!

I have both the heart bag and the small sweetheart (both in black) and have used them heaps! Personally, the heart bag is a collector’s piece but I find it quirky yet functional that I ended up using it all weekend for months when I first got it last year. Now you need the card holder to fit into those bags so I’d keep that one as well. Out of your loot, will probably return the woc - but that’s just me. Good luck deciding!

Thanks! Glad it isn't just me then :biggrin: Honestly sometimes feel like I must be crazy. In fairness I haven't bought from the boutique in years and then just had a splurge of late...of course I have bought preloved but there have been some unique pieces lately but then there's always something I guess :graucho:

That's helpful I think on the heart. I kinda know it's a collectors piece. The only thing with the WOC/card holders is that the CCs are stunning on them. Maybe I return the WOC and 1 card holder.....

Those cc are beautiful!
Tough choice, do you have to let something go or can you keep them all ( at least until you know for sure what you're ready to part with)?

Goodness I wish I could keep everything. I suppose I could and decide on the heart later. I think the woc and card holders are pretty stunning and feel like I might regret if I return. Have a month to decide on those :confused1:

I love everything else you bought much more than the heart bag. I think I would be more interested in a heart SLG, to be honest. You have some gorgeous hardware on those card cases and WOC! Wow! I would have a hard time parting with any of those. And the Sweetheart is so pretty too.

I have mixed feelings about the heart
On one hand I don’t like the shape of the large one - it looks much better in the smaller version. It’s also something I wouldn’t personally wear. However this is a major collectors piece and the black was one of the most sought after colours. I had a recent conversation with my SA about these bags and she said that these hearts will be auction pieces in the future and has advised anyone who has one never to sell it. This is also evidenced by how much the heart bags from the 90s currently go for. So unless you really really have to I wouldn’t sell it at this stage.

Keep the maxi too. It will be fortune to replace and it’s just a matter of time with fashion constantly cycling that maxis will be back. The maxi is a beautifully constructed bag and it’s timeless.

Even though I’m not a heart fan I still think it’s way better than the sweetheart and any woc. It’s more special in the way it’s constructed and the beautiful lambskin.

The sweetheart is just another seasonal bag to me and wocs come every season and always look virtually the same. I would return these.

Thanks but the problem is sourcing a heart SLG. Anything from the heart collection is like hen's teeth and well overpriced. I might just sit on the large heart and decide to part ways later down the line. Thank you for your views appreciated :flowers::heart:
