Nahreen,

Thanks! I was being cheeky regarding the language :)

I'm on a mission for the B this trip! If I stock up on other goodies DH may leave me with my in laws here in Sweden!

Good luck hunting. About Amsterdam, when I called the store this summer, I was told they only sell K or B to residents. And he was not very friendly either. So if your only purpose is to go to H, then I would skip Amstedam. However, I think Amstedam is a lovely city and there are lots of other designer stores with friendly staff and cool museums. Like the handbag museum for bag lovers.

They had a Kelly!! It was being shown to a Japanese couple in the back of the store by the jewelry cases. I was a bit shocked. I asked the berg lovely associate if they had any K or B and she had said no- then saw a deep red colored K being shown.

The prices are much higher on leather goods then I have found in the US and Barcelona. I was looking at a Dogon Dou it was 14500 Sek without 2000 Sek tax rebate.

I was hoping to snag a large H belt kit for DH- for Xmas- but they only had gold :(

I am amazed. Was this in STH? Personally I've only asked to place an order, never asked to buy one directly. I am very particulate with what I want. I know they were hoping to get some K and B bags in for X-mas that were ordered so they could open the order list in January again. Perhaps someone who ordered one changed their mind and they were able to sell it? It takes about two years wait to recieve an order now.

Hi Nahreen :smile1:

The bag could be from 'store quota'. It can be on display or 'behind' and that can be offered to one lucky customer. It all boils down to luck :smile1:

Don't think they are opening next year yet.

Well I have never asked if they have any to buy. I want to order one in the right size, leather and HW. I do hope the'll be able to open the list. The SA I was talking to thought so. She even made me make up my mind on site to what I wanted (we had previously been discussing different leathers on two different occasions) so that everything would be ready once it opened and she could put my name down so I would not have to go to STH. She also promised to put aside a bracelet for me if she recieved any in the right size and colour.

Thanks Miriel!

Everything is more expensive in Scandinavia. Sigh. I will just wait until we get to Spain, where jt is actually cheaper. I would be so sad if they had a B here in Stockholm and it was more $$ than the US!

Interesting you saw a B in AMS I was reading that they are really tough for non-Dutch.
I hope you get your B! The lady in Amsterdam who was getting the B looked Asian but I don't know if she is Dutch, The SAs were very friendly and even offered to put aside a few things I would want if I called them ahead of our next trip to Amsterdam.

Hi to the Scandinavian ladies out there! Thought of bumping up this thread to get the latest update on the situation of acquiring a Birkin or Kelly in Hermes Copenhagen. Is the ordering system still in place? As I read previously in this thread that it's only being offered to Danish citizens or residents and must pay a non refundable deposit. Is this still true? How challenging it is to get on the list? Any nice and accommodating SA whom you could recommend? I'm currently on the look out for my first Hermes, either a Kelly or Birkin. Your help will be highly appreciated. Thank you. :)

I don't know if you now can get on the list if you are not Danish, I was told earlier that it was only for residents. It is larger than the store in Stockholm. I have met different SAs and found them nice. It has unlike LV never been crowded. I finally managed to get on the list of my local store and got lucky getting my dream K in October, 1,5 year before the expected time.

My husband is, hence we're looking at Hermes Copenhagen. Have spoken to different SAs a couple of times already but nobody's giving a definitive answer. They seem really nice though. It's really confusing. It's like going around in circles. So I'm really hoping if somebody could shed us some light.

Does anybody know how it works in the stores in Stockholm or Copenhagen? Can you order a Kelly bag? Or do you have to be a regular customer to even be able to order one? I'm now satisfied with my other handbag collection and am contemplating getting a Hermes since it's the only one missing.

Have you been in contact with the Hermes store in Oslo?
