I picked up my white mini yesterday. Here she is with my 2023 edition tan BB. 😍
Congratulations! They both look absolutely beautiful such a lovely duo!
Wishing you lots of joy wearing them in good health 😊they totally give mother-daughter bag vibes!
Since you have both, I’d love to know how are you finding the size and price of the Mini compared to the BB? Would love to hear your thoughts now that you’ve seen them side by side!

Thank you! The way it worked out I think I paid less for the BB since I bought the BB in France and got a VAT refund.
BUT the projected price per wear will be MUCH lower with the mini since I can wear it three ways; crossbody, shoulder and hand held, while the BB is strictly a hand held bag only.
But for some people the mini just isn’t enough room. My bff and shopping partner in crime 😁 has sworn off mini bags because they just can’t fit all the things she likes to carry. She is a plus size person, so her frame can handle a bigger bag silhouette, while for me, big bags tend look a little off scale. So she is actually considering the BB in navy trim. That extra $1000 would be definitely worth it for her to get more bag space. But for me, if I knew they would come out with a mini version, I would have waited and just gotten the tan mini 😊

Thank you so much for sharing all this! That makes total sense ..the VAT refund definitely helps with the BB, but I completely agree: the Mini wins on versatility. Being able to wear it crossbody, shoulder, and handheld really adds to its value over time.Plus, the no divider in the Mini Wicker is a huge bonus in terms of usable space!
My SA also mentioned that newer versions of the Mini Capucines (even in leather) are being made without the divider now, so… yay! LV is finally listening!
You’re absolutely right though..bag size is so personal. I love how you and your BFF have different styles that suit you both perfectly. That navy BB sounds gorgeous and practical for her!
So happy for you😊 you picked such a beautiful and versatile piece! Wishing you lots of joyful wears ahead!

I just saw one of the YouTubers I follow review her bag, and there was a problem with the strap falling off the bag repeatedly.
She said it is a design flaw/problem that may be an issue for all of these bags, not just hers. She said she was putting out a video this weekend about the problem.
She said her bag fell off her body and she was just barely able to catch it before it hit the ground. Which scares me! Yikes!
This is a screen shot of the video if you want to check it out. And in the comment section she says she is putting out another video soon about the defect in the chain attachment.

Thank you so much for sharing this! I actually watched the video too.
I haven’t personally experienced the strap issue yet, but to be fair, I haven’t taken my bag out properly because I’m in the middle of exchanging mine (a wicker strand was poking out ..at this price, not what you expect!).So honestly, I haven’t fully road tested it yet.Once I get my replacement, I definitely plan to wear it crossbody and shoulder to see if it’s a design flaw or just a few unlucky bags. The YouTuber mentioned she’s waiting on a replacement too, so hopefully we’ll know soon if this is an isolated problem or a bigger issue.Luckily, we have the 30 day window to put it to the test!
Also curious 🧐 if anyone owns the leather Mini Capucine, do the clasps feel sturdier? I think they use the same hardware, but would love more insight!
Definitely something to keep an eye on

Sorry to hear you had to replace yours. I am a little nervous now because the strap failed on mine last night. I had tried it on Friday night with no issues, and then last night I was trying it on with two more outfits in my closet, and one of the straps fell off. The bag was empty with the exception of a Chanel flat cardholder with nothing in it. I had examined the clasp closely after Lisa’s video, and was convinced it couldn’t happen because the clasp has to be pushed inward to open. So I didn’t expect mine to fail. So now I am worried.

I think it's normal for wicker strands to stray out.. That's just how rattan is. My grandma used to have a rattan chair and rattan everything.. was the thing back in the 60s and 70s in southeast Asia.. And I remembered it the strands poking out lol

I get where you’re coming from ..wicker and rattan naturally have strands that pop out over time.
But honestly, we’re not talking about a vintage chair ..this is a brand-new $7K luxury bag.
I didn’t even push for a replacement my SA insisted it wasn’t acceptable, especially with the strand poking right at the opening before I even used it.
And let’s be real, in Southeast Asia where rattan is common, they don’t charge these absurd prices.
When I’m paying that much, I expect perfection at least when it’s brand new.
If things happen after use, that’s fine it’s part of the material’s nature but not right out of the box!

I’m so sorry to hear that happened to you too!I completely understand your worry
I’m still waiting for my replacement to arrive, so I’ll definitely keep you posted once I try mine out I’m honestly really worried too.
It’s such a basic thing, and I’m buying this bag mainly for the versatility and crossbody ease.I really hope it’s not a design flaw!
This kind of issue should not happen even oncce. I think you should definitely try using your bag more normally ..put your regular things inside, wear it around and see if the strap holds up.
Better to catch any issues now while we still have time to exchange or return.

I hope the replacement works out for you. It’s truly 1 of the most beautiful LV bags out. I have the BB from last year and I couldn’t wait for Spring to come to get back to using her. I don’t have the strap issue on the wicker BB but did on my BB where the hooks are on the interior of the bag. I have to be careful how I put the strap on now. The hardware is identical on all of my capucines.

Here’s my BB that I’ve been rocking a lot lately:

just wanted to share an update regarding the Mini Wicker strap issue.
Lisa posted her follow up video, and unfortunately, her bag is still experiencing the same strap falling-off problem it really seems like a design flaw.
She is trying hard to make it work. She even ordered clasps and straps from Amazon and did a DIY fix by attaching the strap to the round handle hooks. Honestly, I’m a little worried about all this strap situation it’s a lot of mind games to make a $7100 bag work. For this kind of price, I just can’t deal with basic functionality issues like worrying if the bag will fall off while wearing it.
Just wanted to share! Curious what you all think about it?
