what didn't you like about it? I have it coming in the red. You have me wondering. I see you want the peony exotic carryall, me too. Are we going to bid against each other on ebay? lol, I see we have many of the same bags

I wonder how this bag would look in regular leather (not patent)? I bet that would be gorgeous! does anyone know if they make the quilted version in regular leather?

They make the quilted bags in both patent and in regular leather. I'd suggest seeing them in person if you can, because seeing them and being able to touch and try them on really affected my choice when I bought a MK quilted bag. They are all beautiful, though; it is just that some looked different IRL than they did in photos.

I think this is a gorgeous bag design .... MK really scored a touchdown on this design and it's the Hamilton that's leading me back to MK and the MK store (right across from Coach) at my outlet mall --to go sneak a peek at all the MK bags that are there. Is the leather on this bag pretty soft ? Because it sure looks so. The quilting is TDF.

Congrats--another lovely bag for your collection, if you keep her!

i decided im going to keep her, boyfriend has her all boxed up at the top of his closet.. man i really wish i could get her down to carry. The only two things i do hafta say about this bag, is i wish the quilt part was a little more puffy to it. I feel as though its kind of just flat. The second thing is my lock is all scratched up, and I only carried it once! Is this supposed to happen. I am super careful with all my bags, and I know its only a little scratch but its right inside the point to the M and its driving me absolutely insane!

Congrats, it's gorgeous ... I haven't seen the patent quilted Hamilton IRL but I did manage to see the quilted one in black leather, so pretty. I was very tempted but decided to go with luggage/GHW ... something about the GHW just grabbed me!:love:

I went to the mall to see the quilted Hamiltons IRL today and I must say I fell in love with it!!!!!!!!!!! I want the gunmetal!!!!!! I had originally wanted the Hamilton in mocha so now I have a big decsion to make and I do not want 2 of the same bags.....I think the quilted it just soooooooooooooooo beautiful and different! and made so well as are all of his bags.....OMG this decision is going to kill me!!!!

I think if it was more puffy it could cause stress on the leather and it may possibly tear?? that is the only thing I could think of as to why it is not "so puffy".....it IS gorgeous though!!!!!!!!!

I don't know if this applies to all stores but when my DH bought me my Hamilton the lock had some minor scratches. I called the store and they said they had some extras and that I could exchange it. When I got there they had a box of spares and I got a new lock. But this is funny - not all locks fit all keys!! We had to try 2-3 before we found one that fit the key that was one my purse. I thought that was pretty funny considering the lock is only decorative.

Call your store and see if they have any spare locks - but make sure it fits your key if they do!!

ETA - I don't know where you purchased the bag - I got mine from the MK boutique, I don't know if dept. stores get spare locks.

thanks, i bought my bag off of ebay though, so im not sure how it will work and my closest mk store is an hour and a half away.

but i was in lord and taylor last night and saw the regular black and the gunmetal quilted, and the gunmetal is TDF!!!! i need this!!! i will be getting this one also soon.
