Hi! I can envision what you are going through, having gone through the exact same scenario for the past eight years. Lugging along a heavier bag, as well as having to fumble through it for my essentials. I eventually downsized to just carrying a Bottega Veneta mini crossbody (wallet on chain sort of bag but with much more room), housing my cards, tissues, phone, cash within. If I need to leave my bigger bag elsewhere, I will just carry this small bag with me as it comes with a brunito crossbody chain. Thus, my essentials can always be with me. If I do not need it, it goes into my bigger bag.
Now that my child is older, I felt I need not carry around a bigger bag as frequently as before as he carries his own small backpack now. As much as I love my small BV bag (it is a favourite of mine), I wanted a slightly bigger crossbody with compartments, light and yet roomy enough to hold a mini umbrella. I haven't got around to using the Twinset as much as I only got it last Friday but I trust it will function very well for me. As for why I chose Empreinte is because I purchased the compact curieus wallet prior, then a key cles and really love the leather... so much so that I decided to go for the Twinset in Empreinte too. In terms of how durable the Empreinte line is, I have been using my Empreinte SLGs daily and they hold up fine. I have no issues to report. I am extremely pleased with them. I hope this helps but I will really suggest going to the store and checking out whether it works for you. What you intend to fit within must fit, it must be comfortable on the shoulder for you as a mother's shoulders are already very heavy to start off with and finally, I think you must also love it so that you will enjoy using it too. My pleasure to share. I wanted a casual crossbody with compartments and that got me looking at the Twinset. If you do not intend to carry too much; just cash, cards and keys, I observed that another practical option here amongst ladies is getting the mini pochette or pochette accessories and using a leather strap or chain from etsy sellers or mautto.com to be able to wear it crossbody.
If your preference is for bags with chain, the Empreinte Saint Germaine BB might be of interest to you too. I hope this helps. [emoji5]

Congratulations! I recently got my first LV bag too. The Speedy 25 was what I initially wanted but after trying it in store, I knew wearing it crossbody won't work for me, as attested by the LC Honore and 3D. Somehow, the handles tend to rub against me when I walk (and I am constantly on the move). It is just not comfortable for me. That said, the Empreinte leather is subtle, lightweight and should be parallel to what you are looking for.
