Question: k25 black box leather GHW (sellier) or K25 etoupe sellier PHW? Would love to hear how people like / dislike box leather!
I love box leather. The sheen abd structite it gives are stunning.
I was recently offered a BBK25, and I also have a Kelly in epsom. I was initially slightly nervous about how delicate box leather is, but after using it for a little while now, I don't have a single regret. The leather is absolutely stunning, and cannot be compared to the regular epsom leather at all. The vintage look and the subtle sheen it has are so gorgeous.
I love box leather. The patina as it ages is superb. My only issue is when I get that first scuff…
Definitely black box! Ages beautifully and much harder to come by. Plus black and gold is such a timeless combo! If you love etoupe with phw*, I’m sure your SA can find another one in due time. (*Since you didn’t specify, I’m guessing epsom. But epsom in chèvre is gorgeous so if you prefer lighter colors in general, maybe go with that instead of the box.)
ultimately, pick what makes you the happiest.

It's the most beautiful Hermès has to offer! Yes it's classic and yes it gets scratched when you just look at the bag. But it's stunning. And I've noticed scratches will dissapear over time. I've got my BBK over a year and the first deep scratch is barely noticable!

I am wondering if the picnic is slightly bigger than the mini kelly II? Up until now I am still reserved about obtaining a Mini Kelly II (would prefer KP cuz it’ll fit more) or a K25. mini kelly II, no doubt, such a beauty, though doesn’t fit much
