Hi everyone,
I’m not actively pursuing Hermès bags, but I’m generally familiar with how things work. A few days ago I walked into a boutique and picked up a pair of Chypre sandals. While chatting with the SA, I asked if he could make a wishlist for me, and he said sure. I told him my first choice would be a Kelly 25 and second choice a Constance 18. He mentioned he might be able to offer me a Constance that day, which I wasn’t expecting.

About an hour later, he called and offered me a Constance Élan in a color and hardware combination I had mentioned. I was surprised since I don’t have a purchase history with him or at this boutique and had only just mentioned my preferences.

Is it common for the Constance Élan to be offered without any prior spend or established wishlist? I’m curious to hear others’ experiences. Thanks!

Constance bags are not quota bags and the SA can make a commission on them. Both of my wife’s Constance bags were walk-in purchases.

Depending on the region you’re shopping in, Elan style bags may or may not be popular amongst clients. At my boutique, the Constance Elan is easy to score compared to a regular Constance 18. Certain people don’t prefer East to West bags, but that is something you need to consider if you are interested in the Elan
