Bolide 1923 Evercolor 25 in Vert Amande! I've been waiting for a non epsom Bolide for a loooong time!

Got too excited to tell the story xD. Mine is not as exciting as the others...

I had the Bolide 1923-25 or 27 on my wishlist since February 2023.
Unfortunately, I moved states in Australia for work in April 2023, and then had to start a new SA relationship in a new state boutique store.

In November, my SA mentioned that for a Bolide, I'd have to wait until next year for Bolides to come. At this point, I had flagged that I was into softer leathers, and currently Epsom wasnt my preferred.

In December, when I was shopping for Christmas gifts, she asked if I'd be interested in Vert Amande Evercolor 1923-25, which would be coming next year. Although my top preference was a Noir, I loved neutrals. She once again mentioned it'd have to be in Jan.

However, she did mention about the B30 and K28 on my wishlist and if I wanted them instead I could wait. I remember reading advice from TPF to ask if getting the Bolide would impact a quota offer. Her answer was yes and no. I told her I understood that in Australia there is a minimum 3 month wait between bags. I asked how long did she think any of the other offers would be, and she said more then 3 months! So I opted for the Bolide and fingers crossed that my next offer is a B30 or a K28 🤣🤣

Congratulations …love the colour. Evercolour is gorgeous leather but be careful with corners.

I've read alot about the corners.... I'm hoping it isn't as bad as they say because I would like this to be a workhorse

Let's say 2024 has started off good, here are my recent bag offers (under my account and my husband's):

I have so hesitated on my first picotin years ago - now I am obsessed with them. The same with first Kelly on the size and color -Now I love the size and color so much and wear it all the time 🙈 I clearly have issues 😫🙄🙈😅💞

In that case, you might actually come to love the Kelly 32 down the line. And if can add a B30 in the future as well. If you like both models, I'd say just accept the K32 and also wish for a B30 for the future. Enjoy your bags and cheers!

Hello, I was offered Kelly 32 in gold on gold Togo and I have major reservations because of the size. Have not made my decision yet 🙈 was really hoping for gold on gold birkin 30 as an easy every day bag.

I would decline. You will be offered the bag of your dreams and it'll be worth it. The major reservations will linger and not feel pleasant IMO - won't it feel like having settled? Why do that to yourself?

Wow! This is such a unique MK. Not many box leather bags come in Vert Fonce, mostly just black and rouge H for box. Love the dark deep rich green with the GHW!

Thank you all for your kind words! I am just back from Paris where I was very lucky to have gotten this at FSH. I had requested as my top choice a MK in box leather in black or rouge h, thinking the chances were slim to none and so gave her some other options as backups. I also had explained to her how I love colors that can read black in certain lights such as blue indigo. I had zero expectations of getting anything at all as the last time I was in Paris I was unlucky so I was beyond surprised when she came back into the room with 3 boxes, 2 of them very small! She smiled and said she had found exactly what I was looking for (a black box MK!!) BUT she has something else that she thinks I might like even more. She then described how she had a very beautiful dark green box leather (vert fonce) which she said was quite rare to see in a mini kelly (I think it was the first one she'd seen). She revealed both bags to me and I immediately without hesitation chose the vert fonce!

In the third box, she revealed to me a Maximors bag in gold swift. This was the first time I had seen this bag and I was blown away at how beautiful it was! She said I could purchase this in addition to the kelly since it was a non quota bag. I passed on it since I really don't like to make impulse decisions for big purchases, but now I regret passing on it as it really was such a cool bag!

Wow! Lovely story at FSH! Glad you were shown different options that you might like better than what you had previously thought. The maximors is a very unique bag. I don't know of any other brand that has something similar to that structure and hardware.
