Hopefully I've landed on the thread where I can comment (mods please move if appropriate) because I need to express my adoration for your new treasure! I'm not a Constance girl but Vert Rousseau in Chevre has me swooning! Somewhere in a recent thread a poster bemoaned the fact that content on the forum has shifted away from pure bag oogling and toward something else (leaving it at that). I am sooooo here for the oogling! Calling @duna and @QuelleFromage to oogle with me as we three had a convo about Vert Rousseau vs Vert Cypres (and Vert Fonce) and I think they are both Chevre fan as well. Spectacular! Thank you so much:hbeat:! I have been obsessed with Vert Cypres for years to the point that I was more set on the colour (plus GHW) than on the type of bag. I somehow have also developed a love for the Constance, but this is something from the last year or so. Yesterday, I was contacted by my SA saying a Vert Rousseau Constance came in and would I be interested. She said, "It's worth just popping in and taking a look." I agreed...being as obsessed as I am/was about Cypres, I was a bit disappointed but I had nothing to lose. And then I did a rabbit hole/deep dive on tPF yesterday afternoon (I think I may have seen the convos re: Rousseau, Cypres, Fonce). By the evening, I knew that if it was a 1-24 in a leather besides Epsom, it was a done deal. If it was a III Epsom, it would be easier to reject the offer. When the box came out I saw 1-24...I thought, here we go...and before the SA opened the box I asked, Epsom? No, Chevre...I knew. I saw her and I was done. I still love Cypres, but this is a superb piece. In 20 years, it will still be a superb piece (in my mind). The leather is delicious. The irony of this is: this bag was part of a store swap. Basically items not sold in the region are moved to another store in the region to see if they sell (in my case, Benelux and Scandinavia). She was meant to be, I feel so fortunate. So grateful the trend nowadays is for minis and bright colours; that, and I sincerely cannot believe she had no takers. The Hermes fairy really did me a solid this time around (I was, honestly, losing hope).

I believe the expression is ‘your bag will find you’, and while it may take time and a few changes of mind, it’s such a thrill when it happens. I love that besotted feeling and felt exactly that way about Cypres (nothing like a good old fashioned H color obsession!). In my case a Rousseau 24 coin purse kept me company until Cypres found me. But Rousseau is a haunting color :flowers:
