It’s a completely different bag altogether from your wishlist.

I can understand if it was k25 in a dark neutral with ghw, or a noir MK w PHW but it just seems like it’s miles away from your dream.

Do you even want a MK in the first place? And if so, what color was it going to be? Is it this color?

The strap is distracting but you can always change that. Do you like the color of this bag for the MK? And do you like the hardware?

I just feel like this offer had zero correlation with what you actually want. If it was me I’d pass.

Hihi, actually what I want is a MK or Kelly 25 in classic noir / other neutral like Etoupe or greys with either HW. Initially my SA told me, it is impossible to get a MK as my profile is rather new and she was saying some neutral colors (like gold on gold) are tough to get due to my rather new profile as well So my SA felt that noir is a “better wait” with a rather constant supply vs others colors. Then I decided to narrow down and told her to just monitor K25 noir GHW for me since it’s a classic combi Kelly.

Color wise, I have a lindy 30 gold with GHW. That’s why I am considering if I want another brown color for my Kelly though I know they are 2 different bags.

I’m thinking because I don’t see the bag irl so I don’t know how the color will turn out irl and the strap is a weird match imo. So I’m wondering if you all could advise as I’m new to all of this. Wondering what will happen if I decline… and if the bag is worth it.

I agree. This color combo is not easy to wear even though MK is hard to come by. I’d only accept an offer if the color is what I absolutely love not bcuz it’s hard to come by.

Do you love the phw? Do you know what your absolute dealbreakers are in order of preference? For example, size might be your first dealbreaker, followed by color, then hardware, then leather etc. Don’t get it just bc it’s hard to get. Your SA will appreciate you turning down something you aren’t absolutely obsessed with and might even advocate harder for the noir knowing you don’t want anything else.

Yes I would jot down my preference and decide what I really want. Thank you all for your advice as I’m really new to this, I don’t know what to expect if I take or reject this offer.

I would go with the bag you've been waiting for. I promise that your patience will be rewarded (see my 2 year waiting above lol)! Unless a MK is somewhere on your list in that particular color.

Thanks all - I was torn on the veining when I first saw, but I think it somehow goes well with the contrast stitching and neutral color. It’s amazing how different Togo can be between bags/hides.

Depends. Is it a bag you'd otherwise use and love while you wait for your dream bag? If yes, then go for it. If no, it's not the bag for you. As to the strap, Hermes, of course, sells alternative straps. Additionally, JaneFinds sells some really nice chain straps, of very good quality, you can buy and use as an alternative.

I’d advise you to wait. Firstly, if you loved it, you would have likely grabbed it on the spot. Since you’re asking, you have your doubts and it’s too expensive of a purchase to regret. Secondly, it’s nowhere near what your wishlist bag was.

Patience is key to getting what you’ll love.

It depends on if you also want a mini Kelly and in this colour. I personally wouldn’t get it because it’s nowhere close to what you asked for. However difficult it is to say no to offers your SA will understand.

The specs of what your SA offered you are nowhere near what you asked for. It has happened to me before. In some cases, I took the item, because I changed my mind and fell in love with it once I saw it. But, if this bag didn't seem interesting to you and it didn't make you happy the first time you saw it, I doubt that this is the bag for you. Whatever you choose, I hope it makes you happy.

Hihi, yes exactly my thoughts, MK is so hard to get and it’s tough to decline an offer! That’s why my heart is wavering. As we all know the wait for your dream bag could go even longer than a year. And I’ve been waiting for 6 months and counting. Honestly this MK color is quite a special “brown with tinge of orange” but I felt the strap is kind of a weird match. I think I could buy another strap right?

ooohhhh...this is NOTHING like what you were thinking for your wishlist...so this is a 180...personaly, I think this MK is a stunner...classic because it is a MK, more classic in my opinion because of the color...and the strap makes it way more edgy! A grat juxtaposition. I think the colours could work all seasons too. I love the strap contrast to the bag. I bet you could order a strap to have come sometime in the future...the fact that this is so differnt from your black K25 wish, means perhaps you still have room in your life for the K25 when it eventually comes? I too am OVER black bags...but that is just me. would you be ok if you have to wait another year for your K25? if yes, then maybe the MK is perfect for you for this moment? Think about if you will enjoy wearing this MK...if yes, i would do it. Good luck. Its a special piece IMO.

Yes, plus it looked odd on me everytime I tried it on tho I do have Rose Sakura in Jypsiere 28 which I absolutely love...
