I was offered an Ebene smooth Barenia B25 recently, DH has a bespoke bag in Ebene Evergrain and I have seen Ebene bags belonging to friends. Have never been able to detect a red undertone. Just a pure dark chocolate brown.

Can only recommend it, very neutral and versatile and if I was offered a Mini Lindy in Ébène, I'd take it as my 3rd any time.

@queenlene Yez girl good luck to us. Keep us updated ok. You are right I see the purplish hue in the blue encre and I can't unsee it anymore. Do you think it's okay for guys to wear that color? It's still gorge though.

I think Any color is fine for a guy! But with that said,
Think of it this way - Blue Encre is Ink Blue - and to my eye, it’s the color of a ballpoint Bic pen. I think it definitely works for guys!

Got a call with an offer of an exotic Constance, still haven't seen it. I believe it is matte blue, PHW. Just not sure how I'm feeling about exotics nowadays, will it still be relevant in the near future or is it becoming a bit passe now?

I recently purchased a Halzan in Barenia Faubourg Ébène and also have a Chèvre Mangalore Ébène Kelly. I haven’t seen the mini Lindy in Ébène yet, but neither of my Ébène bags have a burgundy/red undertone. Just dark chocolate, black under certain lighting.

Agreed. Dark chocolate brown, nearly black under dim lighting.

Wow! For ebene smooth barenia, I would even consider a B25 and turn it into an evening bag!
