I didn't ask him for anything specific at all. I went in to look at Cruise RTW. My SA was just offering as the year is coming to an end and he knows size 25 is preferred.

Also in my experience, declining results in MUCH better offers.

I wouldn’t worry. This isn’t my Paris SA and I have only shopped with this SA for a year at my local store and he found me my much treasured Barenia C18. I don’t ask him for bags but he is very sweet to offer.
