I have a tiny bit of experience here. I was in your EXACT spot a few years ago. I wanted etain or Gris M.. I got offered an etoupe with GHw. It was soooo close. I took it! It was my first H bag offer from the boutique. Fast forward 2 years later, I still yearned for that etain - I kept seeing the etoupe for what it wasn’t.. so I ended up giving it to my mom. Still waiting on my etain (so I special ordered itIt’s GHW which is my preference! I totally get the strong preferences for HW too (my HW preference also has to depend on bag color and sometimes it’s one sometimes it’s the other sometimes any one would be ok). I love my SA to bits and hope I’m not driving her crazy! Hope your RGHW dream comes your way soon

My advice would be to wait. Unless you plan on getting both. If you want etain, you will always want etain.
Etoupe and Etain won't substitute for each other but I feel people who love one often love the other too.Thank you! Your advice is super helpful! I really need to think “can I see myself having and loving both Etoupe and Etain” instead of “can I accept the Etoupe as substitute for Etain” as the answer to the latter question is “no”. I feel like one would prob want or need both, I certainly do. I would want a b25 in etoupe and a k28 in etain! good to hear your story, an Etoupe B30 would be my HG bag, I also put etain on my wish list. I think that is a good idea (go see and then decide) because honestly, you can get this one and then get a different size or style for Etain... I htink B25 etoupe w/GHW is somewhat hard to get so might wanna jump now since it's perfect specs. In the past, I turned my nose up to etoupe but recently i have been eyeing it.
