Hello Sassification, I got a 10 MOP in YG about 5 years ago. Since then I wear it approximately once per week - every 10 days. I do stuck it with other 10 motif necklaces. So far I haven’t experienced a lot of wear and tear. No scratches. I clear it with a VCA cloth before and after I wear it. Try to avoid any fragrances. All usual recommendations.
All in all this is one of my most used necklaces. MOP is very flattering for my skin tone. I would buy it again if I have to.
P.S . I have extended mine for a couple of cm and I do use 5 motif or a gold extender to vary on the length depending on the outfit.

Can you show me how you do that ? I like to wear it shorter sometimes. I still haven’t lengthened my other 10 motifs and I am still debating on whether I should just leave them as they are as I lengthened one.

Where did you get your gold extender from? I’m debating on whether I should lengthen them at VCA Boutique or if there is an option to buy an extender from them, I might just do that.

Hello, I have several extenders: some are 18k gold, some are just any kind of metal. I bought them with a local jeweller and with a jewellery department of a larger department store. The extenders are not on a display, I had to ask for them. The cheapest was about 5$ - obviously not out of gold 😀. The longest one I have is actually an 18K gold anklet.

Thank you for the reply and the image. If they are sturdy and safe for the necklace, I don’t see an issue at all! I bought silver detanglers for my single motifs so I can layer them. I bought them on Etsy. They seem safe so far.

You are right to be careful. I was in a hurry and got a couple of different ones from Amazon. One came undone (stuck either in a towel or my hair), but I caught the necklace before it fell too far. One of the rings just opened up :shocked:
