I appreciate your honesty and found it refreshing. I'm also pleased to read the support given by the other posters here. It made me reassess my own "collecting" and realize that I have pretty much the same thought process, except I don't have many premier designer bags. I do, however, have many items of the higher end, higher priced, non-premier designers. I search around for bags and small goods to meet a certain use I want to fill, and find I just can't go with a designer that isn't "recognized", popular, and below a certain price point. And if it's not designer, just a brand, I just can't do it. And my sights continually reach higher, I admit, as I consider more premium designer items. I live in a big city, am in a decent financial place, yet I know most of my bags aren't "recognized" by a lot of the people that I deal with. However I feel that I know the designer, I know the quality, I know that I gave the bag a lot of thought, and I'm happy with my choices. I feel good carrying my bags, and I think that shows in how I carry myself. That's what matters to me. I put the same thoughts into my clothes and jewelry.
So I know how you feel, but that Brahmin is lovely and seems to fit your needs and style. You said that when you received it you loved it and thought it beautiful. Don't second guess yourself and keep looking for other purses that could be better. Carry it with style!
