Settings For Princess Cut Diamond

i visited the jeweler this morning and we came up with a design that is similar to this ring for my mom's princess cut. i love the design because it remsembles nothing like my e-ring. he said that he will use my mom's smaller stones to drive the design meaning it will be a bit different from this ring, but would be keeping the aesthetics of it. i love the fleur de lis look on vintage rings as well. thanks everyone for your help and especially lubird for posting your mom's beautiful aquamarine ring. it was my inspiration!

^^^I think that is a great idea for a RHR. My taste is pretty simple (e.g. solitaires) but I can picture that looking really pretty. Are you going to do yellow gold or a white metal?

Thank you, originalheather. I normally like simple rings as well, but I wanted to do something different with my mom's diamond. I like the yellow gold at first, but I've gotten some feedback saying it would look good with the white gold. What are your thoughts?
