My heart skipped a bit when I saw this bag! So beautiful!
I have many python bags and they’re fine. And I have capuccine with a python hand, it’s my most used LV bag actually. It’s fine nothing happened to the leather.
But if you’re not happy with the quality of the leather now you should not keep it!

Python will peel over time even with utmost care. It is the nature of the skin and is fragile. I would return it. At that price point you want a bag that will hold up.

I’m still on the fence. I know I won’t see this colour combo again, and I do really like it.
I know it is not an everyday bag. I am leaning towards keeping it as I can always get a black one that is more versatile later. I’ll post some photos of the “lifting”.

Thank you! I’m a hand held gal so that exactly how I was thinking about carrying it. I love the sparkle…I guess that was what drew me to it instantlySparkly
But to answer the question, I am personally a little afraid of python. When I first saw an exotic bag in our local store years ago, it was a Capucines with a python handle. When I told my SA how marvellous it looks, she said that they just threw one out. A client checked it out in the mirror, and a scale from the handle came off. That rendered the bag unsellable. I know that python is not that sensitive by default, no one would sell it then, but this really told me that they must be handled with care.
Despite this story, I'd still recommend you to keep it, I just wouldn't wear it crossbody at all. Only by the handle. It should be fine then.

Funny you should mention Lisa Vanderpump…one of the places I am going to wear it if I keep is to Vanderpump cocktail lounge and Vanderpump Paris…that gave that she has a similar bag makes my heart sing haha…I’ll have to re-watch the episode

I might just have to lighten up a bit…I like things to stay pristine but with this one there is some lifting. If I want the bag I’ll have to be okay with it.
The bag is beautiful-no doubt. But if you’re feeling concerned about how it will wear now? You’re never going to be comfortable with it imo. And that’s a lot of money to spend and not have peace of mind….
I assume this is something you are okay spending the money on since you have already done so and since that isn't one of the issues you raised. If that's the case and this truly works within your budget, I say keep it. It is really beautiful. It is a special occasion bag that you can really feel special wearing. The color is not something everyone has the guts to wear because most will go for neutrals in a bag at this price point, so I think that alone makes it special.

Does this also have an option to wear the bag with the flap outside to show a flower rather than the LV? If so, that offers a different look (more feminine), which makes it a bit more versatile for evening.

I read that there is snakeskin leather conditioner that improves the curling/peeling scale issue. I read that curling scales is often due to dryness and that a good conditioner will repair it. But don't take my word for it because I just looked it up. Ask a professional for the right info and details on what to use and how best to maintain your bag if you decide to keep it. I just wanted to let you know that the curling scales might be fixable.
LVP's bag was a Chanel CF, and it was exotic (but not python). It was such a similar color to yours. Truth be told, I think your bag is prettier. If I can get a good shot of it I'll post!
You are correct that I’m fine with the amount the bag cost, and I’m completely comfortable with paying the amount.
I like the idea of how it will go with grey and silver as well.
There is an option to wear the flower on the outside and I agree that Hines the bag more versatility

And talking about it exotics with crazy colors I have a fuchsia crock lady Dior and wear it quite often for special occasions.
And when I say special occasions I mean even girls night out. Or even shopping too. I think I wore it on a plane couple times too. Every day is special.
