I also have a black GST that I have never used. I debated selling it but I think its such a beautiful bag and in my opinion they haven't produced another tote as beautiful (I do have several deauvilles and the timeless classic tote). The cost of similar totes has also significantly increased - my timeless tote cost doubled what my GST cost to purchase - so if you did want another tote it would be a lot more expensive to purchase

GST caviar in GHW was my first Chanel, bought it a year before it got discontinued. It took me 4 months to look for it and was over the moon when I finally found it in Berlin. I really love it but have carried it only few times since I bought it. Last year I was planning to sell it, found a buyer overseas but luckily she cancelled the purchase or else I would have regret selling it. I love my GST and I'm keeping it.

I have a similar query and am actually contemplating selling the exact same bag I.e. black caviar GST with GHW. Been thinking of replacing it with a LV Neverfull or a Lady Dior.

But not sure if I will regret it. I also don't want to risk Chanel coming out with something new which everyone loves and suddenly the GST is not so iconic anymore and I have to sell it for peanuts like the Medallion.

Would love some advice.

I bought a black caviar GST just before it was discontinued and used it less than five times. It remained unused for a few years until I decided to sell it. Haven't missed the bag for a day since its been gone. It is a lovely bag to look at but it wasn't for me. @ConsciFashion how frequently did you use your GST before covid hit?

I'm in the same boat! I have a GST that I never use - maybe only a few times. Currently, I am thinking of selling it, but have a hard time letting it go because I love the look of the bag. I am afraid I'll regret selling it, but it's been sitting in the box for the last year. It is useful and it would be hard for me to find a replacement.

The leather Deauville seems like a good alternative, but it's not as cute in my opinion.

I rarely use mine too but it was my husband's wedding gift to me in 2012 so I will never sell it. I try to bring it out once a year just so it doesnt sit there but my goyard artois mm and my chanel on the road tote is much easier to carry when i need a tote. I've recently been seeing chanel bring back old styles from 20 years ago at a much higher price so I'm hoping for that when the big bag trend comes back. Let's cross our fingers lol. I'm not one to sell because I won't go through that hassle but you guys should if there's no sentiment to it and it's just sitting there.

I still use and love my GST. I have one of the older ones with the original hardware too. It's such a great tote and I like that it is compartmentalized. One side holds my laptop, the other holds my daily essentials in the main compartment and my phone goes in the back pocket.
