Sell Hermes in London, need help

I'm not a regular on ebay but DH and I have sold a range of items from my no longer used designer goods to car parts as well as purchased items spanning a broad spectrum.

When I listed and sold Chanel items and wanted to post new items, I was blocked from posting the next round. I had to wait -- and the 30 days wait sounds accurate. If a seller has an ebay store, the restriction do not apply. I wonder if this restriction is to US sellers. Who knows. Hermes has policies that affect the "barbarians" -- (us) that apparently aren't applied globally. (Btw, what did we ever do to the French other than try to rename french fries freedom fries? )
Maybe Chanel and LV are the brands getting restrictions? Maybe they target US sellers more often? I am not a regular on evilbay either but I list a few things now and again. I used to be a buyer only but in 2008 I started selling things I hadn´t used etc. I´ve only ever sold two or three Chanel items though. Never any bags from Chanel.

From the OP it sounds like Hermes is included. I didn't sell purses but jewelry, sweaters. Perhaps 4, 5 pieces were originally listed and then the stop sign put the kabosh on listing. Their reasoning was never explained was just is but if you have a store on ebay you can list however many items your heart desires. I mean really what's the diff? Suppose they want the monthly fees from the store sites and figure we'll have this policy as an incentive to have a store. Prob is we're not all "resellers" in the sense of that's our business either part time or full time. We're just trying to move stuff out that we aren't using. Oh well as they say.

Apparently to lift the restriction I would have to become a business seller. I don't buy handbags to resell, I buy handbags for myself and then decide to sell them if I don't have use for them. I don't want a VAT number and I also don't want to have to pay tax on what I sell! Therefore, I find this restriction incredibly unfair. I may try to open a store as I guess it would be worth it to sell the four H bags I have. I will let you know if they lift the restrictions once I have opened the store.

Try rewind vintage affairs London. They will buy birkins and Kelly's out right, and will sell other items in your behalf. you get more if you hold out and wait for the item to sell, but can take awhile.

I have used them and find them very professional.

There is also a seller based in Harrogate, can't remember name, but they buy birkins/Kellys outright, not sure about other H items. Search for birkins/kellys on eBay and you'll find them.

I have had same issue as you on eBay, when having a wardrobe clear out of high end items. They slap this restraint on all private sellers.

I try not to list/ relist too much stuff at once, and vary categories, ie not all bags or shoes at once.

Good luck with selling your items.

Thank you so much. I shall leave the items on Bonanza for a while and if they don't sell I will get in touch with Rewind Vintage.

As far as EBay is concerned, I think I edit the listings too often. I checked and will be able to relist the H bags in 13 days. What a bore!

I need to sell some Hermes handbags and am based in London. Apart from Ebay and dress agencies (that only pay you once they have sold the items), is there anywhere I could go to sell them immediately? Thank youn :-)

If Bonanza doesn't work out:

Try the Dress Box in Cheval Place, Knightsbridge, they sell in Libertys too. It's a concession so you will have to agree prices, H pieces usually go very quickly even if the prices are very high. The phone number is on the web but they haven't heard of the Internet yet.

If you don't mind waiting for your money, some trad London auction houses take H too. Christies at South Ken has 2 sales a year that are practically devoted to Hermes, around Spring and Winter. They have been getting some high prices recently and have an International client list (made-up of people who wouldn't necessarily use eBay for valuable goods) an on-line bidding system for people who can't make the sale in person.

Blue Bird on King's Road has a selected vintage accessories department as well. They might be interested in your bags...

Also, there is a reputable online seller named REWIND aka Vintage affairs, based in London. They might be interested in buying your stuff. Have a look on their website.

Thank you so much! Will have a look. Back on eBay now luckily as I had to wait a month to relist them!

Yes, good old ebay. They cater to those who have stores. So individual sellers after listing something like 3, 4, 5 items, you are stuck having to wait a period of time (anyone remember what that is?) before you can post the next round of items for sale. They've had this in place for quite a while now and I was dumbfounded when I encountered the same barrier as you.

Me too, so frustrated as I new seller of eBay. Sorry off topic
