I need to sell some Hermes handbags and am based in London. Apart from Ebay and dress agencies (that only pay you once they have sold the items), is there anywhere I could go to sell them immediately? Thank youn :-)

Why don´t you list on ebay and use immediate payment with buy it now? That way you get paid immediately.

Yes, good old ebay. They cater to those who have stores. So individual sellers after listing something like 3, 4, 5 items, you are stuck having to wait a period of time (anyone remember what that is?) before you can post the next round of items for sale. They've had this in place for quite a while now and I was dumbfounded when I encountered the same barrier as you.

I think it was about a month before one could re-list. It's supposed to deter people listing fake items. So, it really shouldn't happen to people who have 100 percent feedback.
Have you tried complaining to them?

It is a month, exactly. I have complained to them. I actually have two accounts, the other has a selling limit on it, which is ridiculous when you are selling high priced items! Such a pity!

Oh yes I contacted them and they don't budge. Yep, we have 100 percent positive feedback but obviously that means nothing to ebay.

I wonder how they determine who to target? I´ve hear many members complain about this.

I have been on ebay for 10 years and I´ve never had any restrictions (yet). I have only sold high-end designer items and I´ve been able to list how many I want and whenever I want.

I would if Ebay hadn't limited my selling of branded items. It won't allow me to relist them. Very annoying. It seems many people have had this problem.

This happened to me when I listed an Hermes box for sale. I didn't know this was against policy and clearly understand why when they explained the reasons. But, I didn't realise that following the removal of the listing they also restricted my account. I called them and just kept going higher and higher until I found someone who would reinstate unlimited listing. It took perseverance but worth it. I had had 8 years of 100% trading and it was ludicrous to take such action but that is eBay for you I am afraid.

That's what I meant, just keep asking for a supervisor, then a supervisor's supervisor and so forth. It was a while back but I think I got the list restriction time either significantly shortened or truncated. It was so darn arbitrary, they just wanted to tell Tiffany's or whomever that they were monitoring their suppliers, the persons who pay the fees that support them.

If you sell a variety of things I think it's less of a "red flag" than if you specialize in (that is collect) a narrow category under a single brand name. If you clean out your closet and sell off in a big spurt of the same branded item, that can be a problem.

I'm not a regular on ebay but DH and I have sold a range of items from my no longer used designer goods to car parts as well as purchased items spanning a broad spectrum.

When I listed and sold Chanel items and wanted to post new items, I was blocked from posting the next round. I had to wait -- and the 30 days wait sounds accurate. If a seller has an ebay store, the restriction do not apply. I wonder if this restriction is to US sellers. Who knows. Hermes has policies that affect the "barbarians" -- (us) that apparently aren't applied globally. (Btw, what did we ever do to the French other than try to rename french fries freedom fries? )

I´ve sold mostly Hermès items so I´m still not sure how they determine who´s to have restrictions?
