Sell Chanel PST to buy the MPA?

Just my two cents but if your not using the Chanel sell it. I’m a big believer of there isn’t any reason for something to just sit in your closet because it’s a “classic”....if you don’t use it sell it to fund something you love! My only advice would be to try and see the MPA in person (not sure if your near a boutique but they seemed to be showing up more)and try on...it’s not for everyone...make sure it will handle your daily essentials and you like how
It looks.I own one and I love it because it truly is versatile and a great bag on its own or broken down!

I bought the MPA this week and will be returning it. The concept sounds cool, and I thought it would be a great travel bag, but I did not like it on myself. It does not feel like a proper bag and I don't want to spend 2k for SLGs that would go in my bag. I would go for something else like PM or palm springs mini.

I would keep the Chanel, but if you don't think you'll ever want to use it then maybe sell and buy another Chanel or a different LV? I don't think the MPA is worth all the $$$ people are paying for. Also what is your style, is the MPA something you can see yourself wearing out to dinner, socialising etc?

If it is a formal event I can wear my alma BB in damier, Madeleine pm in epi leather or vernis pochette etc............I need a bag that is crossbody and small.... something that will fit inside of the speedy b 35 as well. One thing I should have mentioned is that I have a teen daughter that loves the MPA. She does not own any LV but I can definitely share my MPA with her.

Thanks for your feedback. Yes, I plan to ship it to the store and then when I go I will try it on. I am looking at other LV bags too. In case that does not work out then I will consider other LV bags. I am just not a Chanel girl I think.

I don't like the MPA at all, and I do like the Chanel, so for sure I'd keep the Chanel. However you said you carried it less than 5 times? And you've had it 8 years? Yes, definitely sell the Chanel. What are you thinking???!!!! lol But I would still not buy the MPA. Hard pass. I can't vote b/c you don't have my choice.

I think I had the bag more than 10 years, I just did not wear it the last 8 years. And yes, carried it less than 5 times. I am a LV girl

Thanks for sharing your experience. That's my greatest fear that I won't like it in person. I am looking into other LV bags too.

I prefer leather over canvas bag. I have two PSTs and barely use them as well. However, they are still brand new in great condition for being over 10 yrs old. I can't say the same for my LV monogram bags or slgs. I've been looking at other Chanel totes as well but so far I don't see anything else as classic and pretty as the PST

I think for the current MPA price, you can get an actual bag for about the same amount. Pochette Metis is a nice crossbody bag and great for travel. Neonoe is also a great bag for travel or everyday use as well. Do you like backpack? Palm Spring Mini is rly nice and cute. Also, the new Montsouris backpack (BB or PM) in mono is also very nice. Good luck deciding!

Thanks for your feedback. I am taking into consideration other LV bags too. I have a teen daughter that is also in love with the MPA. So, we will be able to share the bag if I go with the MPA , which is a plus.
