^^Actually, please don't also post there, we don't allow duplicates

Here is fine, it's jewelry, I know there's other threads in here about this already though :flowers:

I love when people make their own jewellery...in fact I'm becoming an apprentice goldsmith:yahoo:

Wow! That's impressive. My British grandfather and grandmother were silversmiths, and made jewelry (and other silver/gold items). Gran's main job was to set the precious stones, and to string and knot the pearls.

I sometimes do some rather unimpressive beading,

I would love to make some really basic jewelry. I really would want to know how to tie a knot that does not opens and what kind of glue will help fix leather cord to metal clasps....I am THAT basic....lol!!!

I dont know how impressive I will be, but we"ll see! i've always loved designing my own pieces...I just dont have the skills to carry them out myself, so after watching the goldsmiths in my office do custom work I have decided to learn myself. It will be more of a hobby for now and hopefully I can make myself but nice jewellery  in return for an apprenticeship, I will be helping my friend the goldsmith with designs for his store.:smile1:

When I get home I will post some of the jewelry I have made through the years.. I used alot of swarvoski crystals in the past to make my jewelry.
