Finally I decide to dye my D-bag using Tarrago leather dye in a medium gray. (Steel gray number 14) I am not totally happy with the result because now the bag has more "shine" BUT the truth is that now I can use the bag!!
Was full of scratches, like dirty and was like to wear an old bag (with only 2 years of use!).
I will never buy a Tod's or bag with that type of leather.

Wow, the dye job looks great.

Picard, your newly dyed D bag is beautiful! Actually amazing! I have a D bag, but the older style. My leather looks to be the same color as your original color. I have carried my bag one time, as the color just doesn't suit me. I don't know if I am brave enough to try and dye my bag, but you have given me something to ponder over!:D Congrats on your "new" bag!

I have been using the bag a lot the last weeks and the dye really works well. Not transfer to clothes, and is water resistant! I am happy with the result, but is an option only if you will not use the bag never more. If the skin is in good conditions, don't do it.
