Although it isn't my scarf, it seems appropriate for today. I do wish H would reissue this one. Bravo to Caroline for keeping it all these years! Photo from Zimbio.

Croisette, Tourbillon is the fall scarf par excellence. Isn't there also a song by Jeanne Moreau from the film Jules et Jim by that name?

Thanks everyone for the generous comments about my valued old retainer shawl .
It will never retire so don't worry you'll be seeing it again.And again …:p
Maedi I was lazy and fished out an archive photo .Still got the Brora jumper and the shawl but through neglect my hair is far too long now,
How I hate hairdressers …since age 5 when my long hair was plaited so tightly each morning I felt my scalp tingling and ever since I can't bear anyone handling my hair.
