Sorry to all of you lovely people who sent me such kind messages for my birthday - I cannot quote and answer each of you properly because multiquote is not working on my laptop. Anyway, many many thanks to you all and to those who "liked" my post. You really helped to cheer me up on such a difficult day.

Autism is such an interesting condition, but also very difficult to deal with sometimes. I think that people often forget that those with ASD do not grow out of it. In our case, DS (26) has learned to deal with a lot of the issues and to copy neurotypical behaviour (ie how the rest of us function in a social world). He is absolutely amazing at times and has managed to hold down a job for the last year despite also having learning difficulties that meant he has not got any qualifications. The problem for us is that he still has the awful meltdowns that appeared when he was a child. Just imagine a 6ft toddler having a major tantrum, with horrific language thrown in!!! The was what I woke up to on my birthday and is also part of the reason behind my awful health issues.

Well, may my scarves bring me serenity

Sorry for the moan.

:heart::heart::heart: to you all

HHope, it's helpful to share the load you carry sometimes, it's called being human and we all need to do it at times. I'm sure the rest of your silky friends feel the same way. Happy belated birthday.

Maharajas drape.JPG I have enjoyed all the browns this week, but thought I don't really have brown. It urns out I do! For me, brown works best with black (Inspiration from @Pocketbook Pup who ROCKS the brown/black combo). So I scoured my scarf drawers (I'm pretending that my scarves are actually organized in drawers instead of all over the place, LOL) and found some. Here's one: Splendeurs des maharajas!

What a fab collection, I have always had a longing for the Leonhardi in the colourway you have, sigh...
Thank you, dear Pudfish. I have always loved this design and it is especially meaningful since I used to partake in Leonhardi Parades. However, I decided late to finally purchase one and almost missed out. After I saw it, I loved it so much and bought another one in the pink color way.

View attachment 3519506 Despite my professed love for fuschia, I wear mostly neutrals. I still covet the pink colorway of this panthera Pardus. This one has the the teal /emerald contrast hem, which is a nice accent. It is not the easiest pattern to tie. Maybe someone has some ideas?
I'm twins with you on this one!!
I like how you have draped your scarf and I'm looking forward to more suggestions as well.
The neutral color looks beautiful with your coloring.

Love this scarf... And as long as your dog is not chewing up any H, it's not too bad, right...? :giggle:

Have to admit that I never quite got the hang of this scarf... But you draped it around you so beautifully that I finally see how absolutely stunning this can be!! :hbeat: Thanks so much for sharing, my dear friend! :flowers:

Thank you Sammy!

This is beautiful. Isn't the design by Pierre Dumas? I love this design and your color way is delectable.

Maedi, thank you. It's by Philippe Dumas.

I thought I had very few browns in the scarf drawer. Was absolutely certain of it since I rarely reach for brown when I put together an outfit. I don't know if I should now be amused or disconcerted by the rather alarming number I discovered - I stopped looking after I found ten...
Brazil Detail in chocolate
Traineaux et Glissades
Soleil de Soie which has a broad golden brown border
Confidents de Coeur because I can't resist teddies
Cendrillon - rust red brown
Tyger Tyger in miel
Chiens et Valets
Brides de Gala which was bought on a whim because it was dated to original 1957 issue
Couvee d'Hermes
Kelly en Caleche
