Twins with you, HNN! I love this scarf.

Thank you Chloesam, eternallove4bag, chris83, Bova, and momasaurus!! :ty:

The scarf was created to commemorate Queen Elizabeth's state visit to France in 1972. This colorway is from the 1988 issue.

For my first contribution to this thread, I am proud to feature an heirloom, from my late mother. I wish my pictures were better! Based on what she told me about it, I would date it from the late 60’s.

She was a biology teacher, very fond of botanics (and geology and fossils...) and had just completed a few years before a whole thesis on some kind of plant. There was obviously a deliberate choice in this gift from her SIL & BIL :)

Would someone be able to name this scarf ? I looks quite similar to Tourbillon, but it is not, and I was never able to find more information about it. I still wear it from times to times!

I think this has a botanical aspect. I haven't quite delved into the whole design. I should watch Mai tai's video explanation. But there are fronds and petals and feathers galore in an explosion of colors. I went back and forth on this one forever. Do I like it? Do I try it? It's only online. I hadn't bought online. Oh good it sold out. Then it was back and sold out again 3 times in July. Finally July 30 I took the plunge. So glad I did. Duh! It's fabulous and goes with my Colvert and gold bags perfectly. What was I thinking? Mythiques Phoenix. View attachment 3089948
You made a great choice pocketbook pup, this is an amazing design and it looks like it will look wonderful with many of your "things"!!

Not too much of the botanical theme in Au Ciel, but there is a frond or two.
Love this CW of Au Ciel beekmanhill...seaweed=botanical in my book!!

Running errands with Paridaiza...definitely botanical!

You are so funny pocketbook pup. We call this DITHERING LOL. You did good as the MP is nearly impossible to find these days. It looks terrific on you.

A lovely and warm colorway beekman. This one is still in my wish list but I was dithering over the GM. Now I am hoping it will be issued as A summer silk!
