Gorgeous scarves!
Contemplating in purchasing my first H shawl. Which do you ladies reach for most - your silk or cashmere-silk shawl? I like the warmth of CS but concern about its fragility compared to silk.

I mix casual and H all the time- my winter "uniform" is solid l/s top, CSGM scarf (or 140 silk on "warmer" days) and jeans. I work from home, so no one really knows how similar I look day in/day out, except for DH who says "I've never seen that scarf before, did you buy that today while you were working?"

Agree with you Boston, but Reykjavik isn't that cold during the winter, thanks to the Gulf Stream, if you're looking for cold go to Spitzbergen, where winters are long, dark and with cold spells up to -30C for weeks, and not an Hermes shop in sight to lift your spirits ����
