Hello Silkies and Happy Fourth for those celebrating--be safe and have some fun!!

I am opening up this week tonight  I trust you understand!!

This week's feature will surely bring out the silkies who love--Mousselines!! You can find them on the resale market in many sizes but as of today, only stoles and 140s are available.

So so lovely....let's see 'em ladies!!

I think I still need this pink PdO... Can't believe you post this pic of ALL mousse or pics.... Lol ;)

Mousseline week , I've been mesmerised by the beauty I'm seeing this week it's eye candy overload

I've not hitherto been tempted these floaty things , mainly because of the price , but this week has given me pause for thought .
As Pudfish says, maybe better to save for that special mousse and for me that may be Jardin Anglais if there are any left!

Moussies, yay! :yahoo:

At the moment, I only own three (this is a new category for me), but since I now live in a hot summer climate, I am looking forward to collecting more. My local store didn't traditionally carry many mousseline because for some reason the locals didn't fancy them much but I love them and always ask, so they have started offering more recently, I am happy to say!
P.S. These have all been shown in the Mousseline thread recently so I've just displayed them against a white top for today.

Hat Trick They all look stunning against the white top , a lovely trio. As an orange madam I have fallen hard for the Urachima Taro

Lanit, here is my blue one...just lovely colors in it

The blues are so pretty , love this one and it looks as if it will be a piece you will wear with so many things.

Think this will be my fav week yet! I bought my first mousse in April, and now am totally hooked with 3 stoles, and one GM. (Euro pricing really helped!):D

First 2 are Rose Compas
Although the blue one was my first choice (no surprise!), I think I have worn the pink one more as it goes so well with both navy and black. The pic with stripes is actually navy, and the dark color in the pink moussie is dark navy/ink.

The Rose de Compass comes out like a dream in this format , as has been said it's like stained glass .I'm loving the fuchsia one with the striped top , gorgeous.

I've been so looking forward to this week! I've gone head over heels for the little moussie gavroches (which are of course, no longer made. WAAAH!). After twillies, these are probably my favorite.

You make it look so modern , it's fabulous on you!

Croisette I'm stunned and in awe of your mousselines ! Still loving the Fantasies Indiennes of course . But now you show us Ecume ..divineand
gasping at the loveliness of La Rosée

My favorite mousseline - I thought I would pack this one but then would not want anything to happen to it while traveling, LOL.

Lanit I'm not surprised you adore this one . it's so organic and yet eye catching too. I know you have a few other lovely mousselines , I remember with great covetousness you pink Nuées Imaginaires ….

Have a wonderful holiday , sometimes going H-less feels really liberating

Moussie Week! I am also newer to this style, but love them! Thank you lovely ladies and gents for allowing me to share my two beloved moussies with you:heart:.

My dear Croisette, you look so fresh and lovely in La Rosee and your pink/white striped blouse. This is a beautiful moussie. You have such an astounding memory, my sweet friend, that you remembered my two!:hugs: I don't know how you remember the names of designs like you do. Do you know, I still have to double check the spelling on most of mine every time I post! ha! :p No AC here either, but thankfully it is much cooler now ~ so much nicer! Yay!!

Lanit, here is my blue one...just lovely colors in it

Gorgeous blues, Kate! I am sure these colors look amazing on you!

And here is charmante des animaux in green (stole)
and the pink Point d'orgue Lisa showed in her intro.

Scarf, you have such an amazing collection of moussies! I would love to have them all!:smile1: Each one looks stunning on you, but my goodness the PdO is utterly spectacular on you! Wow!

I've been so looking forward to this week! I've gone head over heels for the little moussie gavroches (which are of course, no longer made. WAAAH!). After twillies, these are probably my favorite.

bunny, you look stunning..really, really chic! Yes, please dear H, bring back the gavroche moussies!:tender: I am such a fan of the silk twill gavroches and can only imagine how wonderful the moussie gavroches are! I love your hair, Bunny! Is it a bit shorter?

My favorite mousseline - I thought I would pack this one but then would not want anything to happen to it while traveling, LOL.

Oh-la-la, Lanit!

Oh these are so lovely - every one of them are light and airy confections!

For some reason I've never purchased one, I only have silks. It seems to me that they are more fully appreciated when worn. I think I must reconsider my needs.............

Chasse en Inde Mousseline Gavroche in lipstick red .
Thanks to bunny cat this is getting a lot more use , it's a very skinny little thing but the BCat
knot pouffes it up to something twice the size .

Croisette: La Rosee is so delicate and beautiful. The water drops that look like pearls are exquisite.

Vitamina H: blue is your color! The Urashima Taro is a grail of mine for sure. I have yet to see it resale anywhere, but will persevere. Your blue and another tpf'er's orange are just so delicious.

My other mousseline is Fantasies Indiennes the most dramatic scarf in my collection. It is a little harsh in the strong contrast of fuchsia and black which usually sets my teeth on edge , but somehow it works, as ever H alchemy was at work adding the softer colours .
The girl loves a bargain and it was one of my best
Got it out to post and now decided to wear it for an outing this afternoon ,I realise it looks better in casual vibe than worn with more elegant attire .
The mousseline seems much more substantial and saturated than those in store now.

Yes, Mead. They are so hard to photograph, and they never look great in full square shots. They are made to be played with! And the changeants (colors woven separately, so they shimmer and change with the light) are nearly impossible to appreciate in pix!
