Silkies,

Following the theme of the week just makes this thread an enabler so that we will wear our pieces that have been marinating (Chestnut's term) in our closets!!

Think of Captain Jack Sparrow and Barbossa's line:

"The Code/Theme is more what you would call guidelines than actual rules"

My dang picture won't load!!! Errr....seton, help me!! xo

Stunning Pawnees, croisette! I love the way you folded them to show top & bottom halves of the scarf in all the different colors. You & I are identical twins on the black CW!

Do you happen to know what he is holding in his right hand, in addition to the feathers? I only ask because I play the Native American flute, and many of my flutes look like what he is holding; but I can't imaging a Pawnee Chief would be holding a flute... it must be something else. A peace pipe, perhaps?

Great idea! For the first post of the new thread, you should show how to wear a scarf like a pirate (with the eye patch), add this quote and the list of themes ;)

Florasun, birkinmary, momasaurus, calexandre, itsmeL007, Bova123, CanuckBagLover, scarf1, Melora24, Israeli_Flava - Thank you for your compliment on my Jardin de Nouvelle Angleterre and for sharing my scarfie feeling.
The Jardin de Nouvelle Angleterre is beautiful, but so do the many scarves I still marinate in the box and never (dare to) wear out of fear of ruining its pristine state. But heck, I think I must challenge myself to take each unworn out once each week next year!

Seton - You have the best colorways of Tohu Bohu GMs!

mimi 123 - Wow, I'm amazed by the light pink colorway of your Fabrique Rubans summer silk. I thought it's not available for sale, it's so rare here a few years back. I remember seeing it in Le Monde H and drooled!

Birkinmary - Amazing collection of Marwaris and beautifully worn. Thank you for sharing. I rarely wear my Pelages cashmere PM as the fringed hem makes me feel like I was pulling the scarf apart every time I knot it. Plain fear! So it has gone out of the box like twice since purchase. I agree with you that the design and color are exquisite!

Croisette - Amazing collection of Bateaux du Monde!!!

Thanks Seton for the reminder of new theme list for next year/thread. As a crazy scarfie I am, I still keep a theme list spreadsheet throughout the year and jot down every time I think of a new theme. So now it's ready to go.

Besides taking out themes with poor contributions, a new improvement to the list is that we will have more "Hermes in Action" themes, which are practically applied to any scarves, hopefully will help encouraging members to share modelling photos.
So here's the tentative list. I'll schedule the date for each later once finalized and approved. Opinions are welcome.

Wow! Great list!
I suggest you throw in some knots. What about a cowboy knot or a friendship knot challenge? (that could be fun). Or a not-around-your-neck week? I thought about scarves-on-your-head, but it makes me look like a housemaid ;)

And a pipe organ week?

Chestnut, thank you (and seton) for this marvelous list of theme weeks for 2016! So thrilled to see this and looking forward to bringing out the silks to share with you all.

Thank you, Elaine. I would say it's a peacepipe.
