I know that feeling. I used to have the same cw, TT. Still think it's a beauty but it looks much better on you than it ever did on me! :flowers:

Aww thanks.....so you know that scattered feeling? Sometimes I wake up and am not sure where I am anymore....but my silks are always a welcome surprise....that OH Yeah...I forgot I had this one.....

Some archive contributions. I parted with two of these scarves and am lamenting it a bit.
Oh Maedi, how could u bear to part with any of those scarves? They look so gorgeous! I hope u didn't part with the red one. This is so stunning that I looked at it again & again imagining having it wrapped around my neck!:smile1:

L'or des Chefs (Cheftains' Gold) from H's Year of Africa, one of my fave yrs. It's the same cw as in Perfect Murder so I wuz gonna replicate the look but I didnt have an oversized brown sweater . . . and dont intend to :shame:

u matched this stunning scarf so well with your sweater! And what a creative way to wear a scarve!

Thank you, DLee, I did part with the red one - which would look spectacular on you :graucho:

Your Colliers GM is fabulous. I love how the neutral tones strike a balance with the elaborate pattern. Such a beauty!

Hey sophieg, we're twinsies on the point d'orgue in aubergine. I must play with the colors you mention as alternatives to the plummy colors I reach for first. Good goin' girl!
Thanks, dear eagle! It really works with a lot of colors - have fun!

sophieg, eagle1002us, do I need to tell you that made a good choice because Point d'orgue is the best design ever? ;)

I think mine would qualify as a workhorse: I wore it everyday after Christmas till end of January. Then I washed it and thought it would be best not to wear the same scarf two days in a row. But it still is my favorite :)
I definitely need to prepare an Ode to it with pictures of real organs!
Oh Melora, I would love to see an ode to this scarf!

OMG! Sophie, you are so pretty that u have distrcted me from appreciation of your beautiful scarf! But I took a second look & just found your scarf very elegant!
Thank, my dear! I'm blushing!

Hard to follow on Anfang and Ms Piggy's heels, but this scarf Au Ciel de la Mer has also been another workhorse surprise. This cw looks like 4 diff scarves depending in the corner shown. I can amp up he color or tone it down depending on my outfit and mood.

This looks great on you dear MYH! I finally got to try this IRL - it didn't work for me, but what an amazing, detailed design!

SophieG

Stunning on you , love this very rich reddish chestnut and the design ities beautifully.
Thank you, dear froufrou!

And this is the most truthful pic I'm able to snap. This one is pretty hard to shoot...Sorry about the piles behind!;)
So... how much of the mountain are we actually seeing here :graucho:? Thanks for sharing your impressive collection with us - now I know what a maxi pointe looks like when worn!

Does this count as jewel colours? Worn with black trousers today the black border pulls the whole look together. I thought the very specific colours would make this hard to wear but in fact it goes with a surprising amount. Off to the airport later, who knows what I might pick up ;-)

Not sure why my pic is upside down, I'm not in Australia!
That's a great look, dear paula24jen - isn't amazing how we always find new things that pair well with scarves?

Happy Jewelry themed scarf week to everybody!

Alliances du Monde by Annie Faivre 2004

La Reve de Corail by Annie Faivre 2011:
birkinmary, both are spectacular and TDF !!! :woot::faint::faint::faint:

Some archive contributions. I parted with two of these scarves and am lamenting it a bit.

Thank you, jahna, for your wonderful stewardship of this thread and your contributions of art.

Anfang, KenP is spectacular on you and against your white IM shirt!

Pegase, WOW! This is super on you and the way you wear it with your jacket and the little beads of pink is perfection.

lanit
, what a beauty on your beauty!
Thank you dear Maedi! :hugs:I'm sorry to hear you parted from 2 of them!

L'or des Chefs (Cheftains' Gold) from H's Year of Africa, one of my fave yrs. It's the same cw as in Perfect Murder so I wuz gonna replicate the look but I didnt have an oversized brown sweater . . . and dont intend to
seton, I always admire the way you wear your scarves! This is awesome! A symphony in blue!

Oh Melora, I know how you feel. So funny!!

Hello darling Maedi: We have 5 baby goats from three mammas and it is so much fun. Another Silkie actually drove 6 hours yesterday to come visit me and family. No silk, just kids and kids. When are you going to make the trek?

Anfang: You make everything look so elegant and regal. I'm probably over the line here, but do you ever wear red lippy? You should. I love your lips.

Oh D Lee Twin, I hope I look as good as you do in this shawl. I drool just looking looking.
Ah, my dear sparklelisab, you really are a doll! I don't wear red lippy anymore, this hardens my old face, sigh... I used to, but this took place during the past century! ;)

So that's the one she's wearing! Always knew I would find out as someday on this forum. Merci, Seton!

I'm going to follow Seton with a version of the same scarf in brown. I never wear brown, but oddly this scarf suited me, and I bought it ages ago. Seton, were you in Perfect Murder or was the character in Perfect Murder wearing this scarf? I can't match Seton's tying techniques.

I want the thank Jahna for being our thread's scarf mistress and I do think now that all the themes have been posted for the year - our many silky friends can contribute until someone would like to step up and add new scarf themes for the year after. Jahna, I have enjoyed your lovely silk collection and the fun images you put together for us these past months. Always a pleasure to see your wonderful images!

I want to also thank a tpfer from many moons ago who started this thread - a shout out to Rose, who I hope still visits now and then to view the energy and enthusiasm of the many H silk lovers and followers.

And additional thanks to TT, sophieg, and pegase for your recent compliments!

For theme week - I think belts do qualify for jewels, especially those on Ceintures et Liens.

Beautiful cw, Lanit Perfect combination.

Maedi, DLee, Anfang - thank you for the Chefs love :smile1:

seton, I said bye-bye to Saut d'Obstacles and the Annie Faivre one. The reds in Saut were a bit overwhelming and the Annie was too much of a pattern mix for me (even though I loved the colors).
You look STUNNING in blue and you already know how much I adore this way of tying scarves on you! It is gorgeous.

Oh, a pity about Saut. (sad face) It looks like u have a lot of pink in your skintone so u must have to be picky about reds. I hope u got another cw as the design is so you.
I agree that the Faivre is not for everyone tho. (me no haz it)

Chestnutty and Seton: Can you outline the responsibilities of the Scarf Mistress to entice someone. What exactly does one do??

Your main duty is to steer the thread regarding the weekly themes: do an intro to the theme every wk, maybe make suggestions for the theme, maybe write about the theme (but u dont have to), and remind the scarfys what the theme is.

Yay, scarf sistahs! :ghi5:
Paltrow's character wore the scarf in the movie. Here is a screen cap.
