You are most logical, dear Melora!

I can't help it ;) this has been bothering me for as long as I've been on this thread! (yes, I'm nuts :p )

Anyway, here's the proof I'm you cousin, Croisette!
It's seems a bit green, but irl, it's a nice cw with pink, purple and a nice taupe.

I'm supposed to be working. Can you tell? Instead I'm trying to capture the actual colours of my new DD to share with you all. In doing so, I discovered a naked lady right down in front! I think I need to spend more time inspecting this scarf!! :lolots::lolots::lolots:

Hello! It's been a busy summer and suddenly I'm 120 pages behind....but thank you all in advance for the gorgeousness that awaits!!!

Off topic here but the weather is cooler at last and the the new New Libris stole had a first outing today. The color is lighter and warmer IRL, #78 Marine. I could live in this navy, it's perfect. There's more cashmere in these stoles too. :graucho:

Back this weekend with something pink for our most worthy theme week. :D

Pierina - we have missed you so much. You look amazing in the NL stole - I am hoping to glimpse your new silks and bags. Always looking out for the perfect blue bag nowadays. Will share my pinks with you too.:graucho:

I'm really enjoying paging back through this thread to see all the beautiful interpretations of "collection."

Yesterday I pulled out one of my collection scarves, a 70cm men's collection Carré Tamponnable. It was designed by Gianpaolo Pagni, who modeled it on his book Mirandola. The scarf features the tools the Hermes artisans use at their benches, and each tool has a vivid red number keyed to a booklet that identifies it. I think it's super-cool graphically, but I also love that it's a silk/cotton mix, a fabric that I wish Hermes used more often.

I love wearing this one on dark, drizzly days, which yesterday certainly was here.

What an adorable scarf C! The men's 70 are so wearable - i still have three cotton 70's that I use quite a bit over the summer. Hope to see you modeling it!

My only true H "collections" scarf seems to be Bal des O:

What a personality this silk has scarf1! Full of whimsy too.

The latest word that describes me to a T - dithering. Too many silks unworn caused me to stay on ban island for 90 silks and I swam to shore to two waiting for my surrender. But first here are a few theme week silks for collections.
Kachina Dolls, Samurai swords, Books and Bridles.

lanit, is there ever a day you don't look amazing? What a great collection and style you have.

So kind of you I4H - yep - many days when all I wear is a tee shirt and jeans, but there's always a silk to dress up in LOL.

Thanks so much all for the compliments - canuck, maedi, chestnut, LadyB, MYH, sparkle, rosamond, cherryblossum, croisette - I hope I have not left out anyone. TGIF my scarf loving friends!

I try to prepare 5 bentos each day! I can't use leftovers for that, everything has to be prepared from scratch. Or I need to think about eat earlier and cook twice what's needed to have enough for next day ;)
I'm trying to keep the spirit of bento (rapidly made), but with a western twist (we're not used to eat rice every day).

I don't have furoshikis as I use cooler bags (it's hot in California). I've been thinking about it for while though, and I wonder if they could be used for christmas wrapping (and re-used every year)

HAHA! How come do you know that we somtimes use leftovers? And what time do you get up every morning? You are like a Japnese mother. I am glad to know you approciate the spirit of furoshkis as well as bento! As for the present, we need both wrapping and furoshiki. But these days when we use furoshki as wrapping , we give it away as a present! But I think it's OK for kids, that we use furoshiki as wrapping, recycling every year!
Thank you Melora for your kind words! I am eager to know which mangas you are into!

I think I read about bentos in a magazine a few years ago. I found some French blogs about it, but they were almost always made to be microwaved, while I was looking for an alternative to sandwiches.

Last year, I got more into it because on Wednesdays, my kids had so many activities that we hadn't enough time to come home for lunch. So I reseached the concept, with blogs like lunchinabox or justbento.

And now that we moved to California, I have to pack lunch every day for everyone! This is quite a challenge ;)

I'm supposed to get up at 6am, kids wake up at 7, and we leave the house around 8.

I'm going through Sailor Moon right now. And I saw recently "the wind rises" 風立ちぬ and I really loved it. That made me want to see other japanese animation movies, but I still need to find time for that! (maybe if I spent less time here ;) )

You are bussy early in the morning!
Oh my goodnes! Sailor Moon is for girls forever! And the movie director of "the wind rises" 風立ちぬis verry famous, my family enjoy his film verry much!
( I editted my previous note , so please review it .Thank you!)

Many thanks, LOUKPEACH.

Such a nice thing to say, Maedi, I've missed seeing your sunny smile. You've posted some lovely pictures this summer. :D

Hi lanit! You're looking terrific in your new DD Marwari with a beautiful etoupe bag! I've barely worn last season's shawls so nothing new for me yet this season. DD requested the black/ivory Zebra Pegasus for her birthday recently and that is a beauty in real life. Very striking.

I'm joining you with Kermit Oliver's collection of Kachina dolls for today, and in the pale warm pink colorway it can edge into next week's theme too. :smile1:

The colors of the rings and the gingko leaves are tender ! This cw of Daimyo scarf is made for you!

One Marwari DD down - the pale blue which has been waiting in my wings for over a month.

So gorgeous on you! Congratulations!

Oh dear, this is swoon-worthy. You can fold the naked lady so that she is on the inside? Then you can giggle to yourself and everybody will be going nuts wondering why you have a Mona Lisa smile.
