Oh gosh! What a splendid cw of this GM, Croisette!

Has anyone posted this Metz yet? It's Les Tambours, and I've had it forever. It's become a bit soft and drape-y, but I love that the colors have stayed so vibrant!
And it's such a great design, ElainePG!

Can I pop in off theme?? I want to share my special bird scarf (last weeks theme)
Birds of the Islands in Blue Gris and Terra Cotta. I love this special little scarf because I do go to the islands...it has special significance (besides being really cool)
~I suppose you can say these are the birds of BAN ISLAND>
Shown here with my Rouge Duchess GP which picks up the terra cotta in the scarf~
Thanks for letting me share:smile1:
Certainly off theme, TT, but more certainly a perfect match!! Bravo!

I do believe J Metz designed this Chevaux de Karnak moussie changeant that I was wearing today.
You look perfect, once more, momasaurus.

Thanks sweetie! We need to hang out again soon! :hugs:

Thank you! Your Karnak mousse is gorgeous too!

Anyway, it's supposed to be a date night, but I bailed out due to work. Tsk tsk, I think I'm fated to be a crazy scarf lady for life :roflmfao:.
Oh! Chestnutty, this is so adorable!!

Irony in 4 steps:
1/ imagine an iconic leather bracelet based on the design of a dog collar (collier de chien)
2/ design a scarf representing different dog collars
3/ turn it into a twilly
4/ wrap the twilly around a cheap bangle, thus returning to a (silky) step 1 ;)

I'm not the first to do that, but I think it's funny with the Collier de chiens design, since the leather version is so popular!
:D:D Clever girl!

I have been MIA but wanted to contribute for this weeks theme. I also wanted to mention that although we have theme weeks, I hope it is not discouraging people from posting their regular silks and love of their silks. The original thread is WHAT SCARF,ETC. ARE YOU WEARING TODAY? The theme weeks were developed to have some added fun, and it would be a shame for us all to miss out on vintage or newly acquired silks and the carefree and stylish silks that we all can enjoy, theme or no.

I recently acquired a lovely Parures silk and wanted to share it with you all. Then dug in my scarf drawer for something that might work for theme week. Hope everyone has a great week.

The Parures is so beautiful, Lanit--such an intricate and amazing pattern. I love how you've combined in with Le Ronde des Heures...the colors look great together!

^ I combined two scarves sewing each end together by hand stich.
I found the blog of a French lady, in which the combined stole of Courbettes et Cabrioles & Brides de Gala was introduced.
I do not recommend this way to people who do not want to damage their silks. I do not either. But her stole was incredibly beatiful and the idea of combining two different scarves touched my heart. Since then, I've been obsessed with selecting two silk twills to make my original stole.I made one stole a few years ago and fortunately the stole had a good reputation. I took the first stole apart, fortunately each scarf is still active , almost without major damages. I newly made two stoles for coming season.
Here is the second stole.
A Cheval Sur Mon Carre 14 saumon/gris perle/etoupe
Carre en Carre 06 saumon/corail/beigr rose

cherryblossum, these two scarves look exceedingly good together! Well chosen!

Melora, thanks for guest hosting this week.
cherryblossom, your two salmon carres look beautiful as a stole. This might be an inspiration to Hermes. We are twins on the A Cheval sur mon carre.
Lanit, your PM is my favorite color way of that design in the 90 cm. I had it on hold in Germany, then bought the Tigre Bengale instead. Your combination is fantastic - I love purple and green.
Rosamonde, you have a great eye for colors. These two scarves look like they belong together. Promenade always holds a special place in my heart since it was my first H scarf.
