Scarfies, it has gotten warm so the Silk Necklace emerges. MYH, this will work for you in your new, warmer climate and the heavy knot should stay in place even with the winds you described.

And I believe I need a 12-Step Program as here are my 3 favorite designs(2 each for a GM size) in b/w colorways for this week's theme, but I cannot wear them. And also, wanted to share my FIRST jersey--Anfang is to blame. I feel like I have some of Ladybaga's Crush--the Indian Guy, Pegase's horses on the left side, and "MY" tiger in the middle. And then, of course, the Scuba Guys.... This piece is amazing and I doubt I will be able to wear it either. Dang! Look at the cute little horses in the corner.
Dear Sparkle,

What a wonderful idea!!!

I have try with the 3 knots but doesn't look as neat as this one...

Considering that summer it's almost here, and in my country, Spain it's quite warm I must try this one.

Could you please be so kind to show how to do it????

Warm orange hugs!!!!

sooo much catching up to do!!!
(and I finally gave up triying to do a late post on last weeks theme! ;-/ )

Here is my modest contribution of scarves that have a white background! Two of which I've previously shared on this thread, I think ;) after seeing all of the beautiful b&w scarves this week I'm really surprised at how beautiful (and not sombre, as I had previously thought) they are! Some really amazing collections. Always a pleasure to flick through this thread

Thiphaine! All of this are beautiful! the Brides d G en Finesse always makes me sigh... I so wish I had not missed out on this one!

Thank you Maedi - now this squirrel has hoarded too many silks and is outgrowing her closet space! Must edit edit edit!
Here you go dear - think you would find it interesting...

Not the b/w today - this came from across the ocean and one I waited a long time for one to surface. Completely surprised about the colors though. Maybe it qualifies more as a 'sepia" silk?:D
Congrats on your new L'art d'ecrire Lanit! I sincerely hope you were surprised in a good way... Ist always "magical" how some unexpected colorations can bring new "life" to a design we thought we "knew" or had taken for granted...

I was twinnies with so many that has come before that I wonder if I should have bothered. Well, I didnt bother with one stack of white scarves but here are most of my copycat. :smile1:
Dear Seton! I cant help to join the fan club of your b/w treasures! specially Croquis... its so beautiful!

Here, I have made you a "Seton Plaid" out of the last photo:
Hmm. I think I need food...
YAYYYY!! Ladybaga's back!!
Sorry to post twice (for those of you who could see this picture). Do let me know birkinmary and lanit if you can see this one (at a lower res-for future reference). Thank goodness I got rid of that sweater! It so needed to go... and I REALLY have to find a better way to tie this great scarf.

That plaid is gorgeous! but not as gorgy as you in that outfit! wow! (love the red shoes!) and I also think, the scarf is really good tied!

With pleasure, spaklelisab, it's Quadrige Comme des Garcons special edition, it's amazing how well it ties:
this really ties well... I am honest to admit that I was not euphoric about R. Kawakubo spreading dots all over the desings... But you make it work really well!;)

Hi My Dearest Silky Sisters and Brothers!
Sorry I have been MIA lately! Summer has finally set in, and I am BACK!! I have missed all of you and hope to jump back in to posting. Wanted to share my vintage Les Ameriques (K.O.)
given to me for my birthday in April from my sweet sister and dear brother-in-law. They know how much I love Kermit Oliver and secretly tracked this one down for me. I was completely surprised! Although it is a "scene" scarf and the design itself gets hidden when tied, there is quite a lot of detail in the corners which show up. I was smitten by the colors as they are strong gem tones.
Hope you all are doing well, and look forward to lusting over the last hundred pages that I am sure to have missed. It goes without saying that I know you ALL LOOK AMAZING in all of your pictures, so thank YOU for sharing your beauties with me.
hey Lady B! Such a lovely story!!! You know how much we share the love for KO, I am so happy for you! (.. and I am still looking for an"Ameriques"...)

And with a 70cm! Even less fabric behind the neck. Thanks Sparkle!! I am your humble student.

And wasn't I right, my dear sparklelisab? Isn't this CenC jersey divine? As is your week theme's choice! Congrats!

NestGirl, YOU are ALWAYS on the cutting edge! This is the first of the A/W 2014 designs I have seen!!! FABULOUS!!!!

Ladybaga thank you SO much....I have missed you and am so glad you are back!!

NestGirl, I am so smitten with your photo right now! I do not own a single black and white scarf and this is beyond tempting! I loooove your red jacket too! Tres chic!

Vitamina you are so very sweet. This was a new direction for me, graphic in just two colors, but it is fun to wear!

Dear Ladybaga, I am new to the forum and I want to express that I enjoy your posts and pics very much,
esp. your positive smile! I am also a big fan of Kermit Oliver and have many of his wonderful scarves.
Congratulation to Les Ameriques!

Hey Pegase and Anfang, I will have to make a special "shibui" plaid for you too with your subtle CWs... I think I was inspired to make plaids by that wonderful scarf you just got Pegase (name escapes me...

Speaking of inspiration, I am now on a diet inspired by birkinmary (that and the fact that my daughter is coming for my birthday next week...LOL)

Croisette7, welcome here!! I think you will love this thread. Check out the theme weeks by Chestnutty (post 1), and herded along by our current "scarf mistress" sparklelisab.

My newest silk with a black background...Serio Ludere Maxi Twilly! It goes with everything. I have so far worn it with red, pink and yellow. So versatile!

Holy Camole, I have not paid attention to the Maxis--but black and white! Beautiful my dear.

Sparkle - I LOVE it! I will be wearing it this way all summer.

Oh wow, I hope I look this good because this is Fabulous MYH!! You tied the 90 up high. Did you not like the knot too low? And what do you think about a 70 and 90? Is that too much behind the neck at one time!!

Oh, easy peasy dear!! I will snap pictures tomorrow.

this really ties well... I am honest to admit that I was not euphoric about R. Kawakubo spreading dots all over the desings... But you make it work really well!;)

Pegase, I too was blown over by the "dots" as you say. I think it is a great look, and honey, I'm a weirdo----I think some silk is too lovely to wear... It would be like wrapping the Mona Lisa around my neck. Crazy Girl!

Ladybaga!! Hello my darling!! Last day of school was TODAY!! Maedi, how are you sweetie??? Guess where I'm off to tomorrow to celebrate??? Yep, Hermes. Got another call. I'll need to stop and rob a bank on my way.....

Yes Honey, my guess is you are always RIGHT!!

LOL Pegase, I thought the same when I heard about the CdG version but when I visit the store in London I felt in love with all the designs.

BirkinMary, I don't believe you could be any cuter! What a sight!!
