Scarves Scarf of The Day 2025 - Which Hermès scarf are you wearing today?

All of my scarves are bright, with bold patterns, high contrasts, and strong motifs, so all I have to do to be on theme this week is to reach into the drawer and pull one out! So this morning I decided to enhance the theme by reaching for a power blazer. The black and white pattern is so fine it registers as light gray, so a colorful scarf is needed so I don’t get washed out. I went with leggings and boots to keep things more casual.

ETA that I got compliments on my scarf during my first work meeting, including that my scarf game is the best of anyone in the organization! Not gonna disagree 😆

Spectacular! The last two with these colors are amazing!

That must have been so fun!
Their version of 'I Will Survive' is one of my favorites.

ohmigosh - I love this post!
(I also had the glasses with enormous frames :giggle: I'll see if I can find a photo!)

Beautiful blues and the ocean is very powerful!

Orange sneaks are the best - I love mine!
Orange also reads as a friendly color - I can truthfully say that I get approached for help (answering questions, giving directions) when wearing it!

<mic drop>
YASSS Queen!

Perfect look for our Red Queen!
(twins on the Lalbhai!)

ohmigosh Croisette - this is just gorgeous with this green jumper!
Thank you!
I had scarf mail over the weekend :woot: and naturally you’ve gotta see it … but how to make it fit the theme?
(I know I don’t *have* to, but it’s fun)

This scarf was referred to as a ‘watery’ color last week, and water is very powerful. It can wash away entire cities, the ocean’s waters harbor incredible animals - some we’ve never even seen and perhaps don’t want to, it turns rocks into sand. It soothes us with its sounds, cleans our clothes, nourishes our plants (and us too!), and cools us down.

‘The shattered water made a misty din
Great waves looked over the others coming in,
And thought of doing something to the shore
That water never did to land before’

‘Once by the Pacific’ by Robert Frost

OMG, you lucky girl! ... Huge congrats on this beauty!

Congratulations on your achievements, and the story of dressing back in the 80s. You sent me on a hunt to find a photo of me in my wool gabradine Brooks Brothers suits with the little silk ties. None to be found as apparently taking a photo on my way to work didn’t happen. I did find a photo of me and my daughter taken exactly 35 years ago on Easter Sunday, 1990. Suit is a spring color, and the silk scarf a pale pink which was undoubtedly chosen for the occasion. Simply switch the scarf to get a power look. I loved being a working mom.

As for shoulder pads, here is a photo taken the previous summer when I was still on maternity leave. I'm wearing a sweater with shoulder pads, and the oversize glasses that were the height of fashion. My sterling silver pendant was made by an artist based on symbols from the Pacific Northwest. I wore it every day for years, and it is about my only connection to my Tsitsika scarf. I adore that art so much.

My Tsitsika. Love this design.

Love this! I enjoy being a working mom too and those big 80s glasses are definitely making a comeback with Gen Z. Their love of vintage and nostalgia is so refreshing. I wish I had some of my wardrobe pieces from the 80s and 90s still for my daughter. Your Tsitsika is such a beautiful colorway. I hope you wear your lovely pendant with it.

Thank you @Lellabelle for a wonderful introduction yesterday and today. Like @darkstar66, your styling advice from a few months (or was it years ago?) is a reference for me, and so will be your text on colors.

I do love the bold orange and the joyous yellow and the brilliant turquoise and have more than a fair share of those in my collection. But I also love the concept of quiet luxury. The CSGMs make me feel powerful by being shielded and to me, this one particularly makes a statement of timelessness, sophistication, and confidence without shouting it. All'Orto Botanico di Palermo today.

I love it - so subtle!
My SOTD is not particularly on theme today but, it does offer up the power of warmth, quiet warmth. The delicate colours show nicely against the tonal backdrop of my tee. SOTD is All'Orto Botanico di Palermo.

Lovely soft and sweet shades - so pretty!
Ex Libris en Kimonos is another of my power scarves!!! This design is so fabulous and the colors are my wheelhouse so it always gives me a boost of confidence to wear it.

@Redbirdhermes, love these power looks from the past! I have a photo of my work group from about the mid to late 1980s and there are shoulder pads galore! I tried to crop myself out of it but, the image was too dark to see much detail. I am wearing a glorious deep jade green silk jacquard blouse with shoulders and a bow. We did not generally wear power suits in my line of work but, those shoulder pads gave us all the authority we needed. Had to size up in our lab coats! Thanks for sharing these fabulous and precious shots.

Absolutely the best scarf game! I love your leggings too, looking smashing! Burgundy and gray and navy / blue are all such quiet power colors and together they are a total trifecta!

I'm going with purple today, because I certainly do know my worth.

Madison Avenue Celebrating 10 Years is my power scarf of the day.

View attachment 6158231
As well you should - you’re amazing RBH! This rich purple is my absolute favourite colour and pairing it with the Madison Avenue SE is show stopping! A power look for sure 💜

Thank you, @Lellabelle . You are a genius when it comes to sorting out and detailing different options, as shown in this post about colours. I remember another post from you, several months ago and I wasn't an active member then, when you presented and explained in detail the different possibilities for pairing a scarf, colours, material, patterns, type of garment, accessories, etc. I made a list of the main points and still consult it - one of the points was, to enlarge one's comfort zone. 😅 Thank your for sharing your insights!
You’re too kind, @darkstar66 ! Thank you ☺️
Hi, scarf friends! As most of you know, I love red. I am doing a blue shirt and skirt today with red scarf, bracelet, shoes, and bag.

View attachment 6158242
You’re the queen of red, @AnnaE, a power colour and with a power cuff to match! I often add a leather cuff to my look when I want to add a little extra edge. There’s something of the combatant about it that shows you’re ready to meet the action - it’s almost gladiatorial. Pairing the red with blue is an inspired way to soften the look overall. It’s such a chic and confident look.
orange power today Plumes en Fête

Orange is definitely bringing the power here, in beautiful contrast with the soft olive and the implied softness of the feathers. A great way to make a statement without going full ORANGE 😄
Orange sneaks are the best - I love mine!
Orange also reads as a friendly color - I can truthfully say that I get approached for help (answering questions, giving directions) when wearing it!
Orange you the enabler?! :giggle: I was grateful for your encouragement, which pushed me over the edge to get mine! I still have a love-hate relationship with orange and have to style it with moderation to avoid looking like a clown 😂

Well, if the ability to make multiple jaws hit the floor simultaneously is a power, I’d say you most definitely have a power scarf here!
Just beautiful :girlsigh: Many congratulations on this spectacular find!!

I’m laughing at having to size up lab coats due to power shouldered blouses - what a wonderful visual!!
On the up side, those padded shoulders did make carrying a purse on the shoulder more comfortable!

This is your week to shine, Tea! You have definite scarf game. Teach us your ways, oh wise one, mistress of the brights 😁
Love the look btw. I often mix and match a blazer and more casual pants and shoes to soften a look. This is a put together, balanced and confident look.

Not one, but two beautiful Orto Botanicos, @FA73 and @CoastalCouture ! This could be a whole sub-theme in itself: the strength that comes from comfort. The softness of cashmere, the voluminous hug it gives when wrapped around us, and the warmth and comfort it provides.
These may be softer designs, but they are attention grabbing in their prettiness!

Totally and completely enabled by @LKBNOLA. When she called it watery, and I looked at the one I had been watching for several weeks… I said “Whelp - you’re mine now!”
