Guten Morgen Scarflandia!

I see y'all are still going big and strong with the blues! Thanks to all for the wonderfully BLUE week! So many beauties surfaced for the week. It was a pleasure.

Feel free to continue on with it as I think many of you will have plenty of opportunity for this with Segue Sunday.

Many of you have designs you loved and a color you adore (blue - or ???) so how many of these blue favorites will also make it in to this week's theme of multiples? :roflmfao:

02 Oct 2022 I’m Not In Love: Scarves you tried in vain to resist, and total capitulation – the multiples!

In the earlier days of my scarf collecting, I tried my best to instill a "no multiples" rule. Only one of any design, or any format. Well, the first two go away was the part about not having a multiple in a different format, and of course, it was a just a matter of time before the entire thing fell apart. I don't remember (without looking waaaaay back in my files) which one broke my rules first. But I do remember the first time I tried in vain to resist and couldn't. That was Jaguar Quetzal. I meant to only buy the one, but noooooope... I could never ever get the second one I liked out of my head. So, 6 months later I gave in and hunted down the purple one.

My first JQ

The "tried to resist and failed" purple colorway.

Nowadays, I have learned a little more when I know I will have to give in to obsession, and when I can "wait it out"

My first Chorus Stellarum when it showed up on H dot com in July.

View attachment 5622427

And here we are, less than 2 months later, with the second one. This is actually the orginal one I wanted whereas the first one I bought was my "just in case I can't find another" piece, and couldn't get out of my head. The mod shots I saw made me fear the border wouldn't work on me, and that the greens wouldn't be bright enough...

CS CW 08 as soon as I found it. I hesitated about 15 seconds and gave in. Glad I did.

So go ahead and dedicate this week to the ones you love....the multiples! (I'll give you a double bonus if they are multiples and in blue too if you are a blue lover...just for kicks.. )
Fab intro and love the kitties!
:party:Fab intro Bunny!:party:This is my kind of week!!:giggle: You may not know that I started my scarf collection as the exact opposite of Bunny. My thought (as quoted from me:giggle:) was if I found a design I liked tied I would buy it in as many colours that worked with my wardrobe, thereby:smartass:eliminated the need to constantly:rolleyes:search for suitable scarves in the coming years. This strategy was an epic failure:facepalm:only leading to a much larger collection of scarves under a guise of ease:lol: In hindsight:thinking:I should have made more than one rule!!:lol:Kicking off my multiples with Les Artisans. I also have a love of Japanese themed scarves too:lol::lol:View attachment 5622566
Ermagerd! I am Artisans-less and this is making me drool!
Segue Sunday with touches of blue on my favorite fur girl in a Jungle Love Twilly. She's got a 30 inch neck so cannot wear a twilly, it's way too short! I tied it into a bow and rested it on her, ever so patient with me. My 2nd Jungle Love is a CSGM (my favorite format) which I'd never let her near, the hair, the drool, the snags, eeek!

The scarves are lovely but the pup is the best! I just want to hug her!
 Thanks for another great intro @bunnycat. Your multiples are m-m-marvelous :giggle: . I am still looking for the purple JQ also so I know very well the way a design can get under your skin and into your head like that! And I may be right behind you on Chorus Stellarum...

OK! Here you go. Reluctantly gussied up and as usual, in the driver's seat!

Oh, so beautiful sister! I did exactly the same thing @Redbirdhermes (but maybe in a different order) and this is a prized moussie/90 multiple in my collection, too. Great scarf minds...

Will keep my eyes open @Lellabelle! Everyone here has helped me, too and taught me that many pairs of eyes are better than two in the Scarf Hunger Games...

Not only are your multiples magnificent, @Julide but I love the way you present them! Truly inspiring...

Yes and we cannot wait to see you share those with us @HScarfCollector !!! This is a made-for-you theme week!

Thank you @Nomad! You are the inspo and instructor for the collage idea in the first place! Very helpful tool.

That is my very most favorite cw of the Jungle Love CSGM @EtsyBoss. Someday I will find one! Beautiful and your pooch is sweet as can be too...

Following in the footsteps of my friend @Redbirdhermes today-- crossing over with a design that I fell in love with after seeing @frenchgirl's moussie. After I found the moussie, I obsessed about the 90. Just last week I succumbed to one I had been watching. Introducing my new-to-me 90 Rencontre Oceane and her big sister. (bonus points from @bunnycat for blues + ocean +multiples)

Heading out early again tomorrow. Wishing all the Scarfies who observe Yom Kippur a meaningful fast and gmar chatima tova-- may you be inscribed for a good year. As I will be on the road, I am reprising my Mythiques Phoenix multiples-- small potatoes compared to our MP Queen @xincinsin, but I do love my "jungle chickens" as she calls them...

Within the first few months of my H scarf journey I fell hard for au coeur de la vie.
first I bought the red border one from the initial release. Then I bought the other 3 new from boutique in 2014.

Love seeing these laid out like this (and the lemurs are the best part of the design IMO)
Multiples week, hmmmm....

I have a rule not to buy multiple CW of the same scarf (multiple formats are OK though... on occasion). The one time I ever broke that rule was with the mens 100 Hermes Galaxy. I was searching for the grey with fuschia hem for a long time, and could only find the red one, which I eventually got because it was bright and fun and looked great. I continued looking for a nice scarf with fuschia (love wearing that color) for a long time, bought and returned quite a few different ones... and lo and behold the grey Galaxy suddenly popped up online again. Couldn't resist and I'm so happy with that purchase - it's one of my favorite scarves to wear and so versatile! I just love the contrast between the subdued grey and that bright pop of fuschia.

To add a bit of summer to this autumn week, let me highlight another multiple in my collection: Sea, Surf'n'Fun in 2 formats.

I bought the twilly because I love bright yellow accessories.

View attachment 5623554

The twilly made me fall in love with the exuberance of this design. I looked in vain for a 90 on resale sites for years, even though I don't like that format very much. Perhaps fortunately, I never found one. Then last year, lo and behold, they had a gavroche at the Hermes sale. Pastel pink is not a color I wear EVER, so I went back and forth to the gavroche stand quite a few times before finally grabbing it. I love the mix of red/blue/green (it somehow even works with the pastel pink!!) and the summery insouciance of those surfboards. One of my favorite scarves in my collection

A bit late for last weeks Blue theme, SOTD is Legende Moghole triangle. I only have one triangle, I thought the reduced amount of fabric would make it easier to wear but I don’t reach for it as often as I thought I would.

I hear you on the triangle format. These are absolutely lovely colors
Le Carnaval de Venise is definitely a favorite of mine. The design has so many happy colorways, and I love the costumes and masks.

I adore my Appaloosas. I have two 90s and one 45. I love the colors that I found. I find this to be a versatile design.

Welcome! I hope it will be the first of many. As a relatively recent addition to the forum myself, I will share that this group is one of the most supportive, welcoming, inspiring, stylish, friendly and all-around LOVELY collection of people that you will find anywhere!

A lovely transitional Fall scarf, very well styled. Colder weather means more silks and cashmeres - yay!

Ooh, your new mountain zebra in the blue and brown is sooooo pretty! And the coffee coloured three graces is just perfect on you, @labelo I am starting to realize that this is a design that really shines in monochromatic tones. I might even (shock) prefer the more limited colour palettes… :girlshocked:

My first Toits was, I have to admit now, a placeholder. I wanted a Toits and I wasn't picky about colour. This light blue cw was "H cheap" because it was flawed.
PicsArt_01-10-01.52.23.jpg
And for a long time, I was happy. Then I came across the grail dark blue cw at a reasonable price and hit BIN. It is a sentimental scarf now. I became online friends with the seller in NY. She was a jewel who whittled my crazy grail list down by half and she wanted her son to meet up with me when he was planning a trip to Singapore. We lost touch during the pandemic. If I never find her again, this scarf will always remind me of my wonderful sister in silk Dede Kaufman.

When I saw Alice Shirley's Three Graces 90 I knew I had to have it. The design is just gorgeous! But it also reminded me of a most memorable and glorious, mind blowing moment on safari that my family got to have breakfast with 3 giraffes - no fences, just us and this wild magnificent tower of graces. Two of them fought a bit, entwining necks and trying to head butt each other's back. It makes quite a racket! I love how The Three Graces design captures that fascinating aspect of giraffe behavior. Later when the design came out as a 140, I had to have it too but couldn't settle on a colorway and so never pulled the trigger. Earlier this year I was in luck - one cropped up on the website and I knew I needed it as it was "probably the last Alice Shirley design ever." I'm so glad I was wrong! And also that one magically appeared on H.com in an agreeable colorway.

Sorry for the huge photos! Does anyone know why that happens and how to make them smaller?
The photos are a wonderful size that allows us to see the full glory of scarves! I much prefer these over thumbnails.

But if you’re referring to the mb… when you select the photos, usually in the bottom right before you hit ‘add’ there’s something that says ‘actual size’ - if you tap on that it allows you to reduce the pixel size

HTH!

I have too many multiples in my opinion :cray: .
Here is my crossover multiple from blue week. Only one sits in my “blue drawer” haha. The one I am wearing today. And the other two are actually in my “pink drawer”. The pink is the standout in both.

I will say that while I absolutely love this cw ( it was my first!) I have found it hard to wear for some ungodly reason. I can be very linear in my wardrobe thoughts. But since paying attention more to my summer colors and understanding color better in that process, I see I can wear many more closet items than I thought. And the big revelation, even if my clothes are not same color family as in the scarf, a similar tone in MANY other colors will still do nicely.
