My love affair with the double face scarves began with C'est la Fete and continued with Pani le Shar, Clair de Lune, Wow, La Danse de Chevaux... Well, this year my double face love doubled and I acquired two each in the SS and AW 2022 seasons. Later I even added two more: Folies du Ciel and Hermes Factory. Even when they do not have what @Maedi calls "two equally convincing sides" I love them for the ease of tying, the drape and the subtle variations in design on each side. And sometimes, you really do get two for one -- as with Clair de Lune and this past season's Sous les Charmes d'Orphee. I already have my eye on Jardin de Peintres next season!

These are all so beautiful and perfect for you. Smitten with the three-stone pendant and the look with the blazer. I also like the rider peaking out on Mustangs. Bravo and happy end of the year.

The most delicate cw of this design, which suits you so well, @Maedi ! It looks wonderful with your hair and your complexion. I saw it in the boutique a few days ago and was struck by its beauty in real life, but pink does not like me  as much as it loves you ;)
Aww, thank you so much, dear Mary-the-Mary. What uplifting words. Pink has been my color since childhood and I love it back. I have had to choose softer pinks though as the years progress. :)

For my last of the year - the two grails.
First - Au Contra Courant - I searched for this for several years and it was worth the wait. It’s beautiful.

The second is a scarf I’ve been on the look out since the beginning. It was (and still is) the sort of search that you know is pretty much hopeless, yet you still search. I have very few rules - but one is that it won’t pay over current retail. I figure if I’m paying over that I might as well buy something from H anyway, and lord knows there’s plenty of temptation there and I don’t have to worry about authenticity.
Well - I fell over my first Poret. It was under current retail, and it’s a moussie. :faint:

I want to take a minute to wish you all the very best in the new year - I hope it’s the best year ever. Thank you all for your kindness, for sharing your silky treasures, for all the giggles, and for being the ones who ‘get’ this obsession.
Happy New Year Scarflandia!! :hugs:

Sweet message and lovely photos. Best wishes for 2023 !

The last of my three 10 minute bidding frenzy this month , coupons indiens. I have officially decided I can’t buy scarves with brown. I just don’t like brown plain and simple. It is just a weird personal thing for me. So question is, do I break my rule of not keeping a scarf if there is anything I don’t like in a scarf and have to be creative to hide in a tie? My brown coat was a gift haha. And I sadly had nothing in my winter wardrobe to go with coupons, so neutral blue top was it for running out for errands. I need to stop adding scarves and add wardrobe pieces haha.

I went out like this, and switched to this due to too hot. Happier.

Thank you for the lovely compliments @Croisette7 , @Coco2606 , @Lellabelle, @Nomad @bunnycat @Living.la.vida.fifi @AnnaE @LKBNOLA @Karenska
So in keeping with everyone’s oopsies. “I did a thing” as well lol. I bought three scarves in 10 min in bidding in December. I got all caught up!! One was circus that I showed earlier in my purples. And one was this double face astronomie astrologie. You know how it is with bidding, sometimes you haven’t even been looking for a scarf but you see low bidding and voila you are right in there bidding away haha.
I really wasn’t sure at all about this when I bought it, but I am very pleased with this gorgeous shiny ballet pink and the red is fine on me too.
I’m playing with it in my house clothes so not “an outfit“ by any means. I think small and tight ties work best w such a busy scarf w swirls and dots, but we shall see as I wear it.

Today I continue with my giant silk additions… A Grail that finally entered my collection this year was the magnificent Cheval Phoenix giant silk. It is in the substantial winter silk and quite an amazing piece

A theme this year was that of multiples. Though I purchased the black CW of Carnaval des Oiseaux when it debuted, I was thrilled to find the blue CW this year
View attachment 5679914

On Sunday I shared my Early America CSGM which I wore to Christmas Mass, and here are the two other CSGMs I acquired this year. Talk about multiples, this sublime addition is my fifth Samourais shawl

And, the striking Kawa Ora CSGM

I love this cw, Coco, and tried it first but, dear sister, this one beckoned, so consider this cw, if you are adding multiples:

I love the sweet bees, too, and all the attic-like treasures.

PF is very pretty! And despite all the CS multiple owners, RBH, I think you are our queen. The soft pink is divine :girlsigh:. Beautiful choices and I am so happy you managed to acquire the green. My search was almost futile, then a tip from a dear friend here, and on its way from the Greenwich CT boutique it was. I could see myself with the luscious pink…

Wowzers! @Karenska you are another who can do any size/material/color! That bright green works so well on you and that’s a perfect ring for CS! Love the maxi twilly and I always keep my eyes open for it
During 2022 I acquired 7 marble silks of various shapes, sizes, and materials. The Kyoto Marble Silk Muffler and the Marble Ex-Libris Scarf in a cashmere/silk blend were from prior seasons, and were acquired on the secondary market.

Then came the bee jacquard series of marble silks during the summer. Here are the Marble Silk Fringed Muffler and the Marble Silk Brides de Gala 90. There were also a Twilly and a Doll Twilly in the series.

Finally, this fall came the Marble Silk Fouets et Badines. This is my scarf of the day, tied with the Marble Silk Doll Twilly.

You are the Marble Queen @Redbirdhermes and I love how you use the doll twilly as a scarf ring!

Double the fun! That is some parade, LKB, so beautifully styled. I’m pretty smitten with your Les Mustangs. With the bandana issues and this double face, that is a design that keeps on giving.
Beautiful choices, Lkb. Congratulations on finding a Sichuan - just gorgeous. MP with your top is so pretty. Rafales is intriguing; I don’t know that design. Safe travels.
Thank you always for your lovely comments @Karenska! You have been on my TPF scarf journey from the get-go so I value your remarks all the more as you have seen my choices as they've grown and become more discerning...

Well-- your marble collection is outstanding @Redbirdhermes! The last look is TDF and I adore that cashmere marble Ex Libris on you!
Yes!! All are amazing! Some day I am hoping there is a collage of all your df. That would be so cool to see. And I can’t be the only one thinking that you are so lucky to have such range in your scarf colors because they ALL look so good on you.
What a lovely thing to say @Nomad! I hope that it is true as I love so many colors now!

If you need to rehome it please look my way LOL! It’s such a versatile design - your first and third knots move any brown away from your face. I say keep it and let it marinate. If it doesn’t make you happy after two more wearings (three strikes!) then you can rehome it without regret

I’m officially horrified with the number of additions this year, and I thought SS23 would give me a break but I just came back from the boutique and I’m in trouble  But since it’s the new season and my credit card bill won’t arrive for 2 weeks, I’m counting it toward next year’s number.

Instead I shall share 3 additions: one is a scarf that features a flying flappy eared cocker spaniel and 2 are actual flappy eared cockers!

I am going to request your indulgence for a second post today. Otherwise I can't fit in my whole "highlight reel"!?! I took a bit of a break from my beloved 90 silk twill (my first and forever love) to explore the larger silk sisters. I added four to my stash this year. Two were grails and two were just very lucky and happy finds (one mislabeled as a 90 and priced accordingly!). Hat tip and :flowers: to @Julide for her help on my first 140 grail, Tapis Persans. And of course our wonderful @Living.la.vida.fifi and @Coco2606 just showed the amazing Savana Dance 140s in their collections. In order, Tapis Persans, On a Summer's Day, Harnais de Coeur en Patch and Sieste au Paradis:

This colorway of La Patisserie Francaise is my fourth attempt at getting it right. Appropriately enough, for a scarf showing candies and baked goods, the primary color is vanilla.

View attachment 5679593

I ended 2022 with four colorways of Chorus Stellarum. The pink arrived in the mail three days ago to be my final new scarf arrival of 2022. Chorus Stellarum is my scarf of the day.

What great additions! Great choice - Le Patisserie is beautiful on you in that cw and I love how you’ve put together the CS design with your multiple colourways. Such a great design.
