Today I continue with my giant silk additions… A Grail that finally entered my collection this year was the magnificent Cheval Phoenix giant silk. It is in the substantial winter silk and quite an amazing piece

A theme this year was that of multiples. Though I purchased the black CW of Carnaval des Oiseaux when it debuted, I was thrilled to find the blue CW this year
View attachment 5679914

On Sunday I shared my Early America CSGM which I wore to Christmas Mass, and here are the two other CSGMs I acquired this year. Talk about multiples, this sublime addition is my fifth Samourais shawl

And, the striking Kawa Ora CSGM

Well in one post you have highlighted two deeply desired grails of mine: the lilac Samurais and the Cheval Phoenix-- both gorgeous and I congratulate you on such a wonderful achievement adding these to your already amazing collection. Gorgeous post @Living.la.vida.fifi!

You are in multiples of four today! Four tries to get your perfect Patisserie and four CS 70s so cleverly arranged! And I fell hard for this pink one, too @Redbirdhermes-- I am up to three-- thinking orange for summer/fall, lime hem for winter and the lovely rose for spring...Justifications, justifications-- as if such beauty really needed any reason!
Thank you, LKB. There are four seasons, so you need a green Chorus Stellarum CW for summer to complete your set, I think. I adore that striking orange CW, it looks amazing on those who have it, but I try to remember my limits when it comes to bright orange and pink. The other two CS colorways have white on the border or the hem, so I am pretty sure that I am done collecting with these four.

Hi all, thank you for all your kind words. Been pretty busy so haven’t had a chance to read and respond to everything, but here a Costume de Fête cw 03

And pink makes three! It looks lovely on you. I confess that I will be checking in tomorrow to see if you have a fourth Costume to share with us

Wow I am so jealous of your three. Love how you tied this up with no fuschia and how the pearl earringd mimic the dots on the scarf. I LOVE this on you!

Ha I don’t!!! Although I am considering getting a few more… my SA had all of them. I think tomorrow and the day after tomorrow I will wear another scarf from this year I liked so much I bought in duplicate.

Inspired by Queen of Moussies @Cookiefiend I added 2 colorways of Urashima TaroView attachment 5679618View attachment 5679617

I still don’t know how you managed to get two! Very jealous.

Checking in late today - the sweet pea is keeping me bizzy!!
These beauties are all from this year!

Oh hey, we are twins on one!

This looks amazing on you and I love your earrings!:flowers:

Thank you! I am not really into diamonds (I like colored gems), but I do like wearing these with some scarves.

Btw, someone here posted earlier saying that I look good in non-red colors as well :) Can’t find the comment. Hermes hasn’t been making red scarves much recently. I still buy plenty of red ones on the pre loved market though!

And inspired by Queen of Cotton @bunnycat I added an Under the Waves pareo, a Jungle Love 70 and an unnamed rectangle View attachment 5679622View attachment 5679620View attachment 5679621

Cotton is so easy to wear, and I love that is so practical for, say, chasing after puppies.

And let us not forget about my Alice Shirley obsession
ITCW, Aaaaargh, DUJA, Appaloosa, Tyger Tyger and WS

A lovely collection ❤️

So in keeping with everyone’s oopsies. “I did a thing” as well lol. I bought three scarves in 10 min in bidding in December. I got all caught up!! One was circus that I showed earlier in my purples. And one was this double face astronomie astrologie. You know how it is with bidding, sometimes you haven’t even been looking for a scarf but you see low bidding and voila you are right in there bidding away haha.
I really wasn’t sure at all about this when I bought it, but I am very pleased with this gorgeous shiny ballet pink and the red is fine on me too.
I’m playing with it in my house clothes so not “an outfit“ by any means. I think small and tight ties work best w such a busy scarf w swirls and dots, but we shall see as I wear it.

Happens to all of us!! And congrats!

One of my purchases this year. Robe elegant. Three different ties, playing around to showcase the flowery center.View attachment 5679861View attachment 5679863View attachment 5679864

That’s so delicate, I love it.

The Cheval Phoenic worked out even better than I thought… wow. stunning

I know someone who has a green chorus, and it looks amazing on them. I have a blue one, and I think I have never worn it. Maybe I should have worn a blue one.

Just love this last week of the year in this wonderful thread!! Thank you for all the lovely eye candy so far!! ❤️ - My first and my last shawl this year have been CSGMs: FT came as an unexpected love at first sight into my life and Cosmographia in a CW that I missed out at the time of release. One of my CSGM grails also joined lucky me recently: Imprimeur Fou Charabia! I am, unfortunately, working this week but I will try to post further treasures these next few days…

FT is just so beautiful. Sammy. I just love the soft and shimmery rose and beige colors. Stunning. Love you CU, too. I tried that on cw once, but decided on the rose. And it looks like you are wearing a gorgeous Aran knit with it. And congratulations on your grail. All lovely.
Here are two more favorites that entered my collection during 2022. The first is the Limited Edition of La Vie Sauvage du Texas named for Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Conservation. I was especially delighted with the birds and wildflowers bordering the central animal drawing. A Kermit Oliver is always a special add to the scarf collection.

But the design that surprised me with how it captured my heart is Le Jeu des Petits Bonheurs. I have a soft spot for gaming scarves to begin with, but the little vignettes were a delight.

This beauty has a permanent place in my rotation for Mother's Day. I tied it today showing the four-year-old blowing out the candles on her birthday cake.

What wonderful acquisitions, RBH, and your KO collection grows. His designs are so special. My search is for a particular cw of Les Mythologies des Hommes Rouges at a price point that doesn’t break the bank. Both are lovely colors on you. I agree about the sweetness of Petit Bonheurs - it’s delightful.
Okay, just quickly… :giggle: My two moussie grails this year: The very special Splendeurs des Maharajas and the heavely Nuees Imaginaires… Had been hunting for these two for many, many years:

Both are truly gorgeous, Sammy. My Splendeurs search is for its sister, the soft brown and purple cw.

I forgot you had this cw of danse. And thx for the info on the artist.
I never would have given encadre a second thought were it not for you. I was very close to buying one but waiting too long and it got sold. I still think about it haha. And the pink pegasus is so pretty.
Encadre is a simple design, Nomad, but elegant in its simplicity. It ties beautifully. Which cw are you looking for? H.com US still has a couple colorways and they show up on resale from time to time.
I am following Sammy with my two moussies acquired this year. ?Rusty copper/burgundy? degrade changeant and aux portes des palais changeant. I rehomed 2 changeants this year as I had two with similar colors and had to pick a fav and portes won. And the other just wasn’t my color even tho gorgeous. Never in my life did I think I would rehome a changeant :girlshocked: .

Both are gorgeous and beautiful colors on you, Nomad. Congratulations!

My love affair with the double face scarves began with C'est la Fete and continued with Pani le Shar, Clair de Lune, Wow, La Danse de Chevaux... Well, this year my double face love doubled and I acquired two each in the SS and AW 2022 seasons. Later I even added two more: Folies du Ciel and Hermes Factory. Even when they do not have what @Maedi calls "two equally convincing sides" I love them for the ease of tying, the drape and the subtle variations in design on each side. And sometimes, you really do get two for one -- as with Clair de Lune and this past season's Sous les Charmes d'Orphee. I already have my eye on Jardin de Peintres next season!

Two very special scarves this year, are the LE Voitures Exquises (brought home for me by a friend who was in England at the time), and a very special scarf with the passing of HRH Queen Elizabeth shortly after.View attachment 5678993
The Marble Silk Brides de Gala was purchased in Paris - so is doubly special to me.
View attachment 5678992
Today’s scarf is the last purchase this year - a wabi-sabi Fleurs Et Papillions de Tissus in the delightful fuchsia!
View attachment 5678994
These are all so beautiful and very special for different reasons, Cookie, and tied in your signature stunning knot, but I must swoooon at your marble BdG. Oh my! What a special souvenir de Paris.
Every single one is breathtaking! And, so beautifully styled with perfect jewelry and outfits

Thank you so very kindly!

It is stunning!

The best design of FW22, IMO… Such a stunning CW and simply amazing worn with the black top and candy pink jacket!

Each one simply amazing, and all so versatile and wearable!

Love to twin with you… Thank you so much!

Oooh, gorgeous! Just love this scarf/pin pairing… And, thank you for the reference to Nicole Barr… beautiful work!

I am sooo happy this design entered your collection! It is fabulous and meaningful and this CW was made for you… So festive here with the Christmas tree pin

It is fantabulous!

All are amazing and I already can tell that they will become frequent favorites

Thank you so much!

Gaaaaah! These are spectacular!

La Vie Sauvage is a dream! And, the Petits Bonheurs is, indeed, the perfect Mother’s Day scarf! I had not stopped to savor the details of the illustrations before your post… Truly delightful!

Thank you so very much! How exciting!

Oh my! Breathtaking!

Ha! Thank you, dear

Thank you so much!

Both are swoon-worthy! Wonderful additions!

Oh yes, these are all, indeed, special. But, I am especially smitten by the BdG marble as it is a work of art… and happy memories attached to it, too!
I got a total of 7 giant silks this year, in 4 designs.

This was the year I became obsessed with The Savana Dance in this format, and collected it in three CWs

Coco and Fifi, your SDs are all just amazing. I think SD is so beautiful in any format, the giant silk, the wash. For me, I am on the hunt for the oblong mousseline stole in marine/ tan.
