The cake looks fabulous, @LKBNOLA! What goes into it? I spent yesterday baking a cake too! Not a particularly festive one, but traditional for our house. I will post a pic later

Thank you @Lellabelle and @Karenska-- I hope you will wear yours soon, too. What could be better than a starry night of silk? The cake is just a simple cake but like many Jewish recipes it is made with oil instead of butter. Otherwise it is a mix of apples, walnuts, cinnamon nestled between two layers of almond flavored batter and dusted with confectioners sugar! Very simple and delish!
